Last week I asked you guys to come beauty marking with me to help me find a new self tanner for my body. I bought this Ban De Soleil Streakguard Self Tanning Creme, $9, but I am not in love with it. It's not awful, but it streaks a bit and I'm not crazy about the color on my skin tone. Your mission was to help find me something that would turn me into a gorgeous golden color as opposed to an icky orange one. To see all of the beauty marks for a self tanner for the body, click here. You guys all had great picks so thanks very much for participating!
Beauty Mark #1 found by foreverdizzy is called Decleor Aroma Sun Express Hydrating Self-Tan Spray, $36. Within one to two hours, this light, non-oily spray turns into a deep and natural looking tan. There is no sunscreen in this product though - so you can not wear it at the beach, but it's a great after sun lotion because it keeps your skin supple, glowing and hydrated!

Beauty Mark #2 found by atripp is called GlowFusion Micro-Nutrient Face & Body Natural Protein Tan, $58, is a self-tanning technology lotion that starts off light and can be layered until you reach the level of tan you desire.
This mist form allows for smooth application, there is no odor, no streaking and it won't stain. The formula contains vitamins, antioxidants and a special ingredient simply known as sugarcane which has been proven to work well with the natural keratin already in your skin. Available in light and medium shades.
Beauty Mark #3 found by missixty02 is called St. Tropez Tinted Self Tanning Lotion - Step 3, $37.50, is an aloe vera based lotion that isn't oily and is fast drying. It says that it smells great too, which is awesome because most self tanners smell terrible.
It's funny how you all found these products at Sephora. I have never tried this one but I am very anxious to - this brand has a great reputation! Available in one universal shade.

I'm telling you ladies, the Decleor self tanner's awesome! I have the cream version.
1As long as I don't end up looking like a baked potato, ala Paris Hilton, I'm game for trying a bronzer!! haha
2i will have to try these
3Wow Ill have to look at all the bookmarks bc WOW at these prices. Might as well opt for mystic tan or a membership to a bed with bronzing bulbs
4And bella you only had 4 people participate? lol should have just posted all 4
5i was wondering have any of u guys had a spray on??
6ive had spray ons and im not a big fan- i think its possibly the worst self-tanner smell ever and im big about blending my self tanner in well and getting a good even color and i found with the spray ons it was very streaky and splotchy around my hands and feet. so no, i dont recommend it. maybe if you went to a person that applies it and not a machine? i highly recommend Lancome's Glow-N-Wear flash bronzer self tanning gel. the color is beautiful- more brown and not at all orange and there is almost no smell. plus its a gel and it blends well and dries almost instantly and has never stained my clothes or sheets.
oh and if you go to lancome.com (or probably any dept. store) they are selling the full size glow-n-wear self tanner WITH a full size bottle of their oil-free facial self tanner AND a good size body polisher AND a sample of their self-tanning face petal thing all for only $39!! you cannot beat that, thats like $75 worth of product!
7Ohh good call on the Decleor, that's the best line of products, especially the orange-packaged face lotions.
8Natasha, I'll have to try the Lancome stuff. I was thinking about trying a spray-on but that sounds too scary.
9haha
id rather spend my money on a bottle that lasts a month or two at the least
(instead of a single spray on) and you know you'll get great results!
10wow, too bad i think i am too pale to use bronzing stuff
11I don't use self tanners. I like the real tan
12clarins has great self-tanners too... i love it and their salespeople are always so helpful to find which product is best for what you need..
13no way i dont think anyone would be too pale for it. if you are worried try Dior Bronze self tanner . i tried it but its too light for me. i like dark color. but it gives you a very subtle, very pretty glow. and the smell is also practically non-existant. it actually smelled sort of good which is weird. (i think it was written up before as the one Jennifer Lopez uses even though she's got a such a dark complexion i dont know how it comes from that tanner)
14I went to Sephora and the sales lady gave a me a big sample of the St. Tropez. I absolutely LOVED it! It's tinted so you know where you are putting it. I didn't even apply it that well and I didnt have one streak!!
15Self tanners make you look orange
16I've always wanted to try the St. Tropez stuff. Will have to stop by a Sephora and check it out - and hopefully get a sample. I've previously used the L'Oreal Sublime bronze gel in medium and never had any streaks or problems looking orangey with it.
17Oh No, orange is not a pretty colour on my skin
I don't over do it
with the sun, but it does not take much sun for me to have a tropical tan. I luv the outdoors, and the sun, and lounging around my pool
Actually I don't know anybody who even uses self tanning products. I guess it's because
where I live. CA and I love it.
18And the Decleor won't turn your hands after washing?
19Fake Bake is excellent ,Get it at your local Beauty shop, Its
20easy to use and the color is great deeper if you add to it or lighter if you use less after 1st application.Upkeep is determined by you and how dark and how often you apply.
Cost is about $27.00 a bottle. Not bad to be tan, I think
