White Hibiscus is considered to have healing properties in Ayurvedic medicine, and natives of southern India have been using the red variety to degrease and protect their scalps for ages. And, of course, in Hawaii (where it's the state flower), it's also a popular hair accessory.*

3when i was in hawaii recently for vacation, i went to a botanical garden that had so many varieties of them and they are truly beautiful flowers, and i think that it's nice to know that they have benefits aside from just looking pretty!
