I'm not usually one to travel with a heat-styling tool, but when I saw this little guy ($19.99) I had to give it a go. The possibilities seemed endless: Cowlick be damned, I could get bangs! Amazing, thick, brow-grazing Joni Mitchell bangs! Or maybe I could finally master that Nicole Richie trick that many of you seem to be pros at already! Or maybe I could straighten my hair from a hotel in Seoul, as long as I had the correct power adapter, and without sacrificing precious luggage space!
My excitement was slowed down soon after plugging the MiniPro in. As promised, it heats up in 30 seconds, but doesn't have any heat settings, nor that cool-tip design that I am so used to — I almost burned my fingers. The tiny, tiny size hardly made a dent in my hair (or took one out). The carrying case it comes with, a black floral number with a cute hanging heart toggle, turned out to be the best part of the purchase — meanwhile, secretly creating perfect bangs under my desk or in my office bathroom will have to remain a distant dream.

I saw this at the drug store and was amazed by its size! Sounds like I'll be sticking to my current flat iron for travel though -- the body may be longer, but it's quite slim and sleek and does the job far better than this one seems to.
1I almost bought this the other day but thankfully I didn't and went with a standard size straightener which isn't great but I don't use it all the time and it was cheap.
2You know the standard one inch Sedu doesn't take up a ton of space when traveling. I've given up on cheap hair styling tools, you get what you pay for!
3I've been curious how well these travel ones worked, now I know!
4I blew up my GHD flat iron in Thailand last month! So much for voltage converters!
Are there any decent cordless flat irons on the market?
5It's so tiny!
6I saw this in Stop & Shop yesterday and thought it might be cool but am glad I put it down. I will stick with my Sedu! That's small anyways
7I have too much hair for a tiny straightener. It would take me 5 hours just to do my hair in the morning. I need something with high heat and a big plate.
The case is cute though.
8I Just Bought This!
9I have Naturally Straight hair anyway But!
I bought it to get rid of thick and frizzy hair
It works great..
But yes I did burn my thumb
I turned it off but still pulling it though while it was cooling
cause it was too hot But It worked Great!!!! =)
I Love it
