It really isn't so much the hair as it is the makeup - it's too harsh!

For some odd reason, this is a big style for high fashion events and I just don't get it. WHY???

I adore Cate and she usually gets it right in the style dept...except this time. Don't like this look at all.

I'm not really feeling the entire look. That shadow color is so pretty on her eyes, but she's kinda zombified with the way it's applied. And I'm really not partial to the hair.

The hair's fine it's the eye makeup that undoes the whole look. Too harsh and violet/mauvey.

What I don't like are the copper rings around her eyes or her bony shoulders. Can't imagine what she looks like in real life, considering the camera adds pounds!

I felt bad saying hate it, but i am glad to see i am not alone. I don't know i think it is the colors because that doesn't look good on her.

This woman used to be beautiful and elegant! I'm sorry to see that the Hollywood standards got to her. She's so bony she could put someone's eye out walking past them.

honestly, i think this is the best she's ever looked. never noticed the bone structure before, she's very pretty. hair, i'm not so sure of, i don't hate it but something isn't "right".

Oh, man. I love her but the combo of the hair and the funny bronze eyes is too weird...she looks like somebody dragged her out of a nap to go on the red carpet.

I'm loving Cate's look. Her hair looks fabulous - she definitely pulls the look together well. How perfect is her skin, it looks great. Loving her make up too - very glamorous!

I think, possibly, if she did her makeup differently the hairstyle would look okay. She's got too much going on to pull it off. Also maybe if the dress were more somber and dark it would be an interesting look. She looks dead.

it reminds me of what your hair looks like at the end of the day when you wear a headband and make a poof in front and at night you take off your headband. the makeup isn't helping either.
