Earlier, Geek and I were discussing the pure, unadulterated beauty of children's hair colors. Seriously — they've got gorgeous shades. Even celeb colorist Johnny Ramirez looks to his four-year-old daughter for inspiration when consulting with clients.
After staring in awe at Sugar HQ resident sweetie Katie Sugar's fluffy blonde multi-dimensional locks, this got us to thinking about our own born-with-it hues. I was honey blonde as a child and now I'm light brownish all the way. What about you? How much has your hair color changed over the years?

Not much. It used to be a lighter brown, now it's dark brown.
1It's a bit darker, I was light-medium blonde as a child, now my color is a darker blonde. I've had highlights on and off for a long time, but I'm growing it all out to embrace the dark blonde.
2i was born with "yellow" hair my mom said...then it was white blonde my whole childhood---now its dark brown!
3My hair used to be reddish-bronze and straight, and now it's dark chestnut and curly! Really weird.
4No change really. It was jet black, maybe even blue black, but now it's just black, no sign of blue tone.
5I was born with very blonde hair and around 6 it started to get darker and now I have rich brown hair. I think I would look really awful as a blonde now.
6My hair used to be really light brown, even slightly blonde and now it's medium to dark brown with some red in the sun
7NOT AT ALL
8My natural color is a medium brown, but I color it blonde.
9I was completely blonde as a baby then my hair became dark brown even though I still have blonde strands. When it comes to dyeing it different colors, my hair hasn't changed much. I have no idea if having completely blonde hair would actually look right on me now, but I prefer chocolate brown and red hair anyway.
10My hair used to be white blonde and now it's light brown with natural honey blonde highlights. I miss the all blonde though. I'm thinking about dying it but for right now, I'm going low-maintenance.
11I was a blond baby and now have medium brown hair.
12In Kindergarden, I had pin-straight dark brown hair. The I cut it short in elementary school and all my hair grew out with curls! So now I have very light brown super-curly hair...
Of course, the color was intentional but I wish I still had my straight hair from when I was a child...
13My hair was just like the kid in the picture!!!!!! Now it's less bright, more of a soft red. I was teased so much for my hair all throughout my chilhood and even as a teeneger, but now everyone is envious of it! HA!
14My hair color has barely changed - I was born with a full head of dark brown hair, and it's maybe a bit lighter now that it's longer and gets more exposure to the sun, but the natural color that comes out of my head is the same.
15My hair was light blonde now it is brown
16My hair was very dark brown when I was young, then became a slightly lighter shade of dark brown when I was on a lot of outdoor/summer athletic teams, and went back to a darker shade when I became an indoor-sport person. No magic, no mystery, no hair dye, just sunlight.
17Like many here i had lighter hair,it was dark blonde. Now it is medium brown with reddish undertones and and the nape of my neck you can still see dark blonde hair.
My sister was born with jet black hair and now it is dark brown and my twins brothers had orange red(so cute!)and it is a light brown. If you see us now we looked like pretty much have the same hair color but when we were little it was another history, that's what you get in a Latino family, crazy genes!!
18My color hasn't changed much- but the texture sure has! I had really nice soft think hair as a child and now, no matter how much deep conditioning I do, it always feels so coarse. It looks okay though...
19i was born an extremely white-haired tow-head!! my hair went from white to a lil darker blonde around 6th grade, so i started bleaching it. young me had hair so coarse & curly my mother had to cut knots out, and now its so fine and straight it wouldnt hold curl for the life of me! ive had it black for a while now...its still funny when people point out my blonde roots once its grown out a lil!
20mine hasn't changed at all. I had the curliest little hair (shoulder length) when i was born and it has been uber long since then!
21I was blonde up until the beginning of high school, now I've got light brown hair. I kind of miss the blonde a little bit.
22it's thinner and lighter.
23it use to be my hair was thick and looked black
now it's hella thin and brown.
i used to be a platinum blonde in grade school, it began to change in high school and now my hair is red. this is all the work of nature...i don't color my hair.
24Not at all. I never had light colored fuzzy hair -- from the moment I came out, I had tons of dark super duper dark dark brown hair, and I still do. Won't change at all, until I go grey.
25Dark brown hair throughout my whole life!
26My hair hasn't changed color at all. When I was younger and it was shorter it had much more of a color too it and now that its much longer its more wavy.
27Not much at all. I was born with a head of dark brown hair and it's still pretty much the same shade. Well, naturally anyway.
28It's always been black. I have a honey/caramel complexion and it's always difficult to get good hair colors that suit more tanned skins, so I never bothered coloring it. I think the only tanned-looking woman I've seen that truly looks amazing and even better with colored hair is Beyoncé
29I was white-blond as a kid, and my natural color darkened into a mousy brown, so I dye it a medium auburn color.
30My hair was very light brown as a kid. I grew up in Hawaii, so I was in the sun a lot. My hair was a honey blonde from being a beach girl. It wasn't until I moved to WA that I noticed how dark my hair really is. I like the honey blonde, but I *love* my hair color now, and it's all natural!
31my hair went from dark brown as a baby, to light blonde to this blondish brownish whatever color. it's been an adventure. the nice thing though was that when it was blonde, i still had dark eyelashes and eyebrows.
32I was born with light blonde hair but it kept getting darker and darker and now its a really dark brown.
33I was a strawberry blonde when I was little. I'm now a deep mahogany chocolate-y brown hair. The only thing that didn't change was the texture--fine. I seem to have more hair than I did when I was a child.
34i was VERY blonde as a kid, but now i'm in the dirty blonde/light brown range
35Also, my hair is still straight. It takes tons of mousse and five tons of hairspray for curl to stay in for even an hour or two. Not fun.
36As a baby, my hair was jet black. But through the years, it gradually lightened until during my years in elementary school I was only one or two shades short of being a honey blonde. Now, though, my hair is a dark chocolate color with a reasonable amount of natural red and blonde highlights.
Speaking of textures changing, as a little girl my hair was pin straight and very fine. Now, however, it's very thick and has a tendency to be a bit wavy. I prefer my hair now, thankfully.
37I had white blond hair as a kid and I see I'm getting white, not grey hairs in my late 40s! My mother had lovely natural auburn hair and the dark blond hair color I use gives me the perfect strawberry blond. I have to darken the white hairs of my brows though (what a pain).
38Quite a bit. When I was 4yrs old, my hair was golden blonde-light brunette and very wavy. Then from age 5-12 my color had become more golden medium brunette and fairly straight. And since age 13, my hair is more dull light/medium brunette with a slight hint of gold (nm though); the hair is straight until mid shaft and then it takes on a light wave. I miss the color I had when I was 4yrs old.
39Oh, to have this auburn color when I was young. Straight out of a box that I do myself for under $10. Thank you Feria!
40i always had brown curly hair... except when i was 4-11 i had brown straight hair... then it kinked back up... strange.
41I was born with black hair that changed to brown and then to white blond which slowly shifted to a honey blond until I started dying my hair when I was 15. Since then it has been red, purple and almost black and brown
My hair also use to be stick straight until I hit puberty and now its wavy
42As a child I had honey blond hair, now it's a deep dark brown.
43I was a very very light blonde as a kid, and now I have a dark medium brown hair. Both of my daughters have honey colored hair, with amazing highlights. I'd love to have their hair color!
44I was born with black hair, then as I got older it turned white-blond and it kept getting darker. Now I have medium/dark brown hair with a lot of gold and copper highlights in the sun. That is my hair naturally, I've died it and now it's dark brown with copper in it. I don't like the copper though.
45born with no hair and bald till i was two, then i had very fine, thin, straight white blonde hair that darkened to golden blonde when i was about seven, then around 13 my hair started to darken, get much thicker, and curly. now its curly, VERY thick and a dark auburn.
46I was born with brown hair, which lightened in my first year to a light blonde, and now (I'm 15) it's a medium-dark blonde. And wavy. It used to be stick straight, and really thin. but I think that's pretty common.
47haha, it hasn't changed at all.
i'm filipino, spanish, chinese, and portuguese, so i'll have black hair until i turn gray.
but in terms of texture, it's changed a lot. i used to have to the thin, straight hair until i was 13. it was so thin that i couldn't keep a bobby pin in it without it falling out. now it's crazy thick and slightly wavy, depending on the humidity.
as for my sister, she has a big afro. people always ask her what's her ethnicity.
she had straight hair until she hit puberty as well.
48I was platinum blonde until 16, then it started to darken.
Now it's a soft honey-brown.
49Yep, same here. Really dark brown Filipino hair.
It used to be straight when I was little but then I hit puberty and it's turned suuper wavy.
