An oldie but goodie, this Burt's Bees lip balm blasts me back to Winter trips with friends and family where there was always a chill in the air. Now that I'm planning to head up to Tahoe this season, I picked up a tube at my local drugstore and put it right in my parka pocket so I'd be certain to remember it.
If you're wondering about the connection between water rescue and wintertime, I find the weatherproof Lifeguard's Choice to stand up to wind and water whether your own holiday travels take you to sun or snow. It uses nearly the same formula as their popular beeswax balm but with titanium dioxide for a bit of UV protection. After all, I can't be fumbling to reapply before every run.

This is my go-to lip balm for being outdoors. I use it year round.
1this stuff turns my lips bright pink
2I love this stuff cycling and in the snow - but it turns my lips chalk white.
3i always steered clear of this because i was afraid it would be too thick and chalky...is it really that bad? the spf is a big selling point for me.
4it's very very chalky, kitkat
5It turns my lips white ... I don't like it at all.
6I don't care for this formula either...but I love their original balm and the pomegranate one.
7I know Bert's has a huge following and I've bought a tube about 3 times but it always makes my lips more chapped.
8The original is my favorite.
9Not impressed by this particular BB balm. It looks white and isn't very moisturzing.
10agree with everyone! i bought this stuff excited about the SPF, but then it was so narsty and chalky going on, it looked like i just dove into a powdered donut. luckily, i've recently spotted this new addition to the bb line - an herbal lip balm with SPF, haven't tried it yet but i don't think it can be worse than the lifeguard's choice...
