From Russia with love comes this covetable cosmetics brand, Rouge Bunny Rouge. The two-year-old label is inspired by fairy tales (much like Paris Hilton, it seems), but it's not cutesy, thanks to the gorgeously dark packaging. Featuring a Victorian bent, it's heavy on floral outlines and black-and-white contrast — kind of like a Disneyfied take on Kara Walker's silhouettes.
The line contains the usual suspects — foundation, lipstick, eye shadow — along with a few new classes like push-up cheek stains and under-eye illuminators. (Coughtouche eclatcough.) And although it's soon branching out from Poland and Singapore to countries such as England and France, it'll be a while before the line hits the United States. Have any of you world travelers tried it out, or are you content to look from afar like me?

I'm not loving the design. It's a bit too cutsy for me.
1...I don't think it's cutesy, it may be a little young (I don't know) but it does seem sophisticated and has PUNCH. I think your reference of Kara Walker is spot on Bella
I would probably have to check out the brand in person before I thought of purchasing it though.
2Plus the if people agree with the Victorian bent description (and I do) I would say it's got an edge and that it's almost punk or gothic but still appealing to many. Very cool.
3I hadn't heard of this brand before, but I really like the packaging. I usually get really tired of black packaging (except Chanel), but this is cute (and gothy).
4Kinda looks like Armani crossed with MAC. It's hard for me to crave something based on promo photos.
5Eye gloss?? Ummm I'll pass!
6PeachyKeen19, are you a fan of Kara Walker's work? I saw a powerful retrospective in Los Angeles earlier this year. Her work stays with you.
7Your Kara Walker refernce is SO ON POINT Bella!!! That's what I though of as soon as I saw the side pic. I did a women in art project on her in undergrad and she is a VERY interesting artist. This collection looks neat.
8Oh my gosh, I'm loving this! Grownup fairytale.
I think I'd buy
these just for the pretty packaging..
9I love fairy tales, but I'm not feeling this line at all.
10I am loving the packaging. Not sure about the products, but it might be something I would get just to have on my counter..
