You've got the knowledge on how to choose the right red for you by figuring out your undertones. Now that we've explored cool-toned red lipsticks, it's time to focus on the warms.
If you've got olive or yellow undertones, a warm red lipstick will make you glow. Look for shades with orange or brownish undertones with descriptions like coral, brick, fire engine, gold, tomato, or tawny. Don't forget — the darker your skin tone, the deeper red you can go.

I guess cause I have dark skin with red-orange (clay colored) undertones. I can go either way, though a super warm red lipstick, like the one in the picture) almost looks more like a neutral and less like a "red" on me.
1I really like that L'Oreal British Red. I'll think I'll try it.
2I like NARS' Manhunt and Kevyn Aucoin's Talula.
3Yum!! More red lipstick to try
Definitely picking up that Rimmel
Red Hot on my next Target invasion. Super curious about the Too Faced one too..
4Coral is always a good choice for me. I'm heavily yellow-undertoned.
5I really like Loreal Colour Riche in Volcano, it's a very orange-y red and a great pick-me-up color
6oops! The shade is Volcanic, not Volcano
7Great ideas, I'm DYING to use red lipstick but every color I've tried makes my normally fair olive skin look sickly yellow and gives me the dreaded "clown mouth"
and for someone whos got a major clown-phobia, thats not cool
8These are fantastic, I think they will really really work! I liked Nars Manhunt, Laura Mercier's Truly Red and the L'Oreal shades. Even though I do like Too Faced and the Vincent Longo...basically they're all great!
9For anyone who's on the olive-skinned side, MAC's Dubonnet is one of the best reds out there. It's my favorite and will cry if it's ever discontinued.
10The key to wearing red lipstick well (or any deeply pigmented lipstick) is prepping the lips first and staying away from glossy formulas. If you want the color to last, and stay where you put it, first make sure the skin around your lips is not slick with moisturizer and/or foundation - keep the area as dry as possible. Next, a lipliner that exactly matches the lipstick is essential. Outline the lips then fill-in the entire lip area with the liner. This provides a base for the lipstick to adhere to and puts up a barrier so the lipstick will not travel. Then, apply lipstick keeping it away from the very outer edge of the lip. Blot once, then reapply. After that, air kisses only!
11I second em's statement! Dubonnet is my HG red.
12I've got really pale white skin, but I think dark colours look fantastic on me when I feel like dressing it up.
So far my favorite is Rimmel Full Volume liquid lip colour in Parade Red. Sadly it's discontinued now, I find a perfect shade and they don't make it anymore.
Thankfully I bought three tubes.
13I am loving Those two-Faced lipsticks - the're super smooth and the case is so cute!
