Last night's looks from the American Music Awards were very much your standard red carpet fare — wavy curls from the likes of Taylor Swift and Christina Aguilera or loose updos à la Miley Cyrus. Pretty? Yes. Daring? Not really. However, there were a few ladies that lived up to a more rock-and-roll style. Ashley Tisdale wasn't quite as edgy, but her twisted side ponytail was different and chic, while the others played up short asymmetric styles. Rihanna curled it up, Natasha Bedingfield pieced it out, and Pink did a little of both. I'm liking this slightly off-kilter look — it is the music biz, after all.

Much like the dresses of the evening, the hairdos weren't really impressing me. Ashley's hair looks okay...a little boring though. Pink's is just gross, and I don't care for Rihanna's hair wavy like that.
1Rihanna's hair isn't really asymmetric it's more of and up do with a side swept bang.
2The #2 look is okay but I don't like the other three.
3I miss Rihanna's straight, edgy hair. Every time I see her she looks more and more like some kinda bird..

5Ashlee is playing it soo safe, I even prefer Rihanna's ursula style hair to it! Pinks looks good, tho =D
