I may be pinching pennies 'til my next island getaway, but this Softsoap Body Butter Coconut Scrub let me fly away there by simply closing my eyes. I loved the tropical aroma straight from the container, as I put it on, and after I toweled dry! I tested it both as a body scrub and as an alternate shave lather – it was easy to use just one product to clean my skin, and then shave it off.
Rich with jojoba extract, this helps retain natural moisture but doesn't really add any if you've got oily skin – and you'll need to properly moisturize afterwards if your skin is already on the dry side. My fave part: the little nubbies of crushed coconut providing an exfoliating massage gentle enough to not irritate with daily use and at around $4 (for 18 ounces), it's gentle on your wallet, too.

1ohhh that sounds good. i need to try this
2Nice! Maybe I'll try this next time!
3Oh wow! I have been using this too.
4I bought this stuff a couple of weeks ago and I like it very much! I don't think it's as coconut-y as it could be, but it does smell nice. Does a good job of exfoliating too.
5I haven't tried this but I have been using Caress Tahitian Renewal and I love it. Even better, I can usually find it at places like Dollar General for $3 bucks so I usually stock up lol
6Are the exfoliators really made out of coconut? If so, I'd love to try it.
I read this book about how exfoliators that use plastic grains instead of something natural like fruit/nut seeds, actually kill a lot of sea animals. The plastic goes into the ocean which then little plankton end up eating. Plankton are then eaten by bigger animals which are then eaten by us. So we are literally feeding ourselves plastic grains! I dont know.. I just wanted to share that because it really creeped me out. Now I only use natural skin products.
7Gauzemodeofeve, the Walgreens link that Bella gave says that crushed coconut extract is the ingredient that gently exfoliates, which I think is cool. Thanks for sharing the exfoliators in nature info!
8it's one of my new fab finds.......
9I had a coconut body wash from Bettina Barty that I used for a while, but honestly, it was TOO strongly scented! Kinda put me off coconut fragrance for a while! But I'll still keep this in mind for when my Vanilla Honey Dial wash runs out!
10Very interesting point, Gauzemodeofeve. I'll definitely be checking if any exfoliator I'd been using is made of plastic.
