I usually see gift sets galore under the tree, but I know I'm not the only one with relatives that love presenting packages all tied up with a bow. Problem is, I can never seem to make each item last the same amount of time and find myself with leftover lotions far into the New Year when soap and shower gels become ghosts of Christmas past. What do you do in this scenario?

I'm a Lotionist. I love my lotion scents from BBW and I go with that. Every else I use on my body is either scent free or temporarily smells like peppermint (Dr. Bonners, Bigelow and Burts Bees).
I don't have much control with my hair products. I use the best products that work and hope they don't clash.
1I'm an Aveda-ist. Theirs are the only scented products that I've found that don't give me headaches. It's great!
2I've become a purist, my husband grew up in a family with severe allergies-no stinky lotions or products. So now anything like that gives him a nasty headache. I go for unscented as often as possible or a soft scent, nothing too strong. Now that I've switched, I really prefer it and strong lotions are starting to give me a headache.
If I'm gifted strong smelling lotions and soaps, I'll usually save it for our guest bedroom.
3We use mostly unscented products not because of allergies or anything, but because a lot of the scents are made with chemical crap so they make the product something you wouldn't want near you.
4My body lotion, body wash and body spray all compliment each other very well... coconut body lotion, vanilla/coconut body spray and some sort of milky almondy body wash. So delish!
5only if complimentary. I won't pair cucumber with raspberry.
6I usually stick with thew same scent. My bath gel is never very strong , so I can so with another scent if I feel like it.
7I like to mix it up!
8I mix up everything. If I have it I use it. It just makes sense to me. For the most part, if I use a scented body wash and a scented lotion that are different you can't tell because the lotion generally cancels out the smell of the body wash, which isn't that strong usually.
9My tolietries are very granola - no parabens or SLS so they tend to be unscented. Which is good when I do wear perfume - it doesn't conflict.
10I have found that a fragrance lasts much longer when I also put the same type scented body lotion on my lower arms, from elbow to wrist.
11I'm a person who chooses my bath and body stuff totally based on what I'm in the mood for. If I feel like it I might match, or complement, or not.
12I like mixing complementary scents, like I have gingerbread shower gel and peppermint body lotion - since both smell spicy, I figure I'm good!
13I'm frugal. When I run out of complementary shower gel, I use the remaining lotion on my hands throughout the day.
14I'm allergic to most scents!! It's so crappy I would love to wear all of the nice smelling products out there
15I grab whatever. Sometimes its better you create your own unique scent, well thats what I read somewhere.
16Everything has to match. I'm kind of OCD about that.
17I try to complement the scents rather then layering the same one over. But lately I'm just using up all the stuff that I have accumulated over the last two years so I'm a scent mess.
18Traditional and complement - whichever I'm in the mood for. Leftovers, if not too girly, I give a little for the dogger after his bath. Hubby loves the smell and Raider is the talk of the neighborhood.
19I'm a whiny baby sensitive chick - so no smelly stuff for me!!
20the fruity smells i like to mix and match
21Only if the scents are in the same "family"...most of my lotions and body washes are coconut-scented, so they all go together anyway. Oh, and I love B&B Works Brown Sugar/Fig lotion with Ralph Lauren "Hot" perfume. That's one of my favorite combos.
22I mix and match them. I don't usually do it on purpose. Part of it depends on whats closest to me, and part is what I feel I want to smell like at that given time
23I'm a realist - I use whatever I have on hand. The only matching products I use are my Juicy Couture perfume and body lotion...
24The only fragrant product I use is Chanel Allure and no5. Besides that EVERYTHING is fragrance free. You experience the true scent this way. It's so lovely.
25i use whatever i see first when i grab for lotion and perfume
26(i have a couple of each)
and while i always think they won't compliment each other (like satsuma body butter and vera wang perfume), my boyfriend always tells me i smell nice, so i'm not too worried about being super complimentary
i never used to wear anything but i try to smell nice for him cuz he always mentions it!
i tend to go for scents that go with each other typically but i try to make sure i dont pair intense smelling anything with intense something else. its either subtle or the same scent all over.
27I'm... picky? I only use Johnson's baby lotion, and I only use three different scents... others give me a headache.
