Falling temps bring on rosy cheeks and yet another reason to keep moisturized since the cold weather can do a number on your skin! If you're working in lunchtime workouts this Winter (kudos to you!), a tinted moisturizer with SPF not only keeps your skin protected, it leaves fewer products to sweat off or reapply after the shower.
Always looking for inspiration from my pal Fit, I picked up a tube of Boots Tinted Moisturizer on a more successful trip to Target, telling myself that it would be better to be out $12 if it didn't work out than out $32 for my higher-end choice. So did it? Find out when you read more.
I admit I was skeptical (only three shades?) but, lo and behold, it was wonderful! It glides on nicely and left my skin feeling moisturized but not greasy. If you've seen the product in the store, even though it looks dark in the tube, the actual color's very mild, blends well, evens skin tone, and doesn't look too "made up" either. I've tossed it into my gym bag for safekeeping . . . . the first baby step to a newer, sportier me!

Bella, is this for face and body?
I really love the tinted moisturizers and currently use Iredale tinted moisturizer with SPF or TIZO 40, they are both excellent for the face, but too costly for use on the body.
I know Jergens makes an inexpensive one, but I just don't feel that it moisturizes well. So, I would be interested to hear your opinion.
Here in the midwest, my skin is sooo dry in the winter!
1any idea whether it's oil free or not?
2By "Dark" Bella do they mean dark for a white persob or do they mean brown?
3I went to the Boots website and the details don't list the product as oil-free. It IS hypo-allergenic and suitable for all skin types. I'm willing to give this a try because I LOVE tinted moisturizers but my skin is usually not a fan of non oil-free products.
The Boots natural brand, Botanics, also makes a tinted moisturizer. It's not oil-free either but gets great reviews.
4Jessiebanana, I'm wondering the same thing! What some people think is "dark" is far too light for many African-American and Latina women.
5i only wish this had a higher SPF. SPF 15 is simply not enough for fair-skinned ladies like myself. my doctor recommends i use at LEAST 30 for everyday wear.
i have tried this tinted moisturizer, but i think it does feel a bit greasy for me. but then again, everything feels greasy for me. i must be picky.
6aaah Boots at Target is like my favorite thing EVER. I love their nail polish ALOT.
Anyways, I'll have to try this because I've definitely been in the market for one, and I'm sick of mixing my own with mousturizer and bare minerals every morning lol...
7Sounds nice...I LOVE tinted moisturizer. It's all I'll wear as far as foundation goes.
8i love boooooots' eye makeup, i'll hafta try this! thanks for the recommendation :0)
9I love this product! I have it in "dark" and my skin's brown.
10I use tinted moisturizer occasionally on the weekend, and I prefer this to the Stila offering, even if the price was the same.
11Thanks!! I am going to buy this tomorrow. This is way cheaper than buying my $30 benefit tinted moisturizer. I am a light skinned African American, do you think the dark shade will work for me?
12That's a good reference Pet, if it works for you I'm pretty sure it will be too light for chocolaty me.
13I'll have to check this out, but I have a feeling I'm too pale for it, I'm too pale for everything. For now I just mix my mineral foundation with my moisturizer, but it gets kind of messy.
14Boots is pretty amazing as far as drugstore...
15I'm a very light skinned African American and I have this TM in Medium. It's matches perfectly, which is pretty surprising since it's usually IMPOSSIBLE for me to find shades that match my skin tone.
