Same day, two very different lengths. At the grand opening celebrations for Victoria Secret's new flagship store in NYC, Heidi Klum wore her hair long and wavy for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Later, at the cocktail reception, she sported some serious red lipstick and a trendy shoulder-length bob — aka the "lob," or long bob.
Perhaps it was a little hair tucking and some pinning trickery. Or could it be possible that Klum used those ginormous bedazzled ceremony shears to chop her locks into a fashionable shoulder-grazing bob? Hmm — can't tell just yet. Regardless of how it was done, (quickie cut in-between appearances?) which look do you prefer on Klum? Are you a fan of her traditional long, model-y locks or do you like this bobbed style best?

I prefer it bobbed, but that fake blond kills me, she looks way better as a brunette.
1I like the shorter hair better on her. She always looks fabulous though.

13Actually, this is going to sound weird...even though you can tell she's getting older in the second, she looks younger overall. i ADORE long hair and am growing mine out, but it's been done. this is chic and flattering.
14I have to say I'm about Heidied out! Her hair either looks oily and unwashed or the color is amiss. Also, I don't find her to be the most alluring or striking of the VS models.
15I prefer the lob on Heidi. I recently watched a television show about her and I think she is amazingly beautiful and family oriented.

22they both look good! I so want to do this, have short hair but have extensions for when I feel like a change. Without a personal stylist though I doubt I would be able to pull it off as well.
23I love it! The old hair was so predictable and boring. I don't like typical long model hair, so blah. My feeling is if you can cut your hair short and look great, more power to you! Too many models hide behind their hair and if they cut it off, no one would think they were as pretty. Linda Evangelista is one of the most gorgeous women on earth and her hair is always short!

25I think she looks great with both the longer and shorter hair, but the shorter bob makes her look more "polished" and sophisticated.

30Based on a lot of candid pics I've seen of her in mags, I think she wears hair extensions, a lot. I think her natural hair is short. When she's on the runway, she's usually sporting extensions, I bet.

33She's pretty perfect both ways. As for whether the "lob" fake or not, usually, the pinned up bobs are curlier, hers looks legit. And while I'm finally used to her blonde, blonde, blonde hair, I do think her natural color with a few highlights was nicer, although perhaps not to the male readers of SI.
As for looking older, she just looks older because it's so close up, not because of the hair. We should all look so old.

35I just cut mine like this and I receive so many compliments. This is the picture they showed me in the beauty shop. Thanks Heidi. Longer hair just isn't becoming on most ladies. Sometimes it makes you look older or you look like you are trying to be young. When you're not getting compliments on your hair, it is time to change it and usually the short or medium length cuts are the way to go. Have fun with it and work it!
