The election may be behind us, but it's time to vote once again. It's your chance to tell us what you're most excited about in Sugar's Best of 2008 series.
So when it comes to foundation, which brand does it right by deemphasizing flaws (not that you have any) while evening out your skin tone? Which brand transforms you My Fair Lady-style — from filthy street urchin to high-class society lady with the sweep of your fingers?
OK, I exaggerate a bit. I guess I'm just a fan of any and all makeover-type flicks. Time to choose your favorite from the list below; I'll share my pick later.

BE! I love the light finish and that you can still see my skin through it. I've never been one for full coverage though, I rely on a good concealer for trouble spots.
1Er...good skin and a light powder?
2Smashbox's foundations are the best I've ever used!
3Lucky lucky you Jude C!
4For me its Clinique powder foundation, the shade is perfect for my brown skin.
You didnt have either of my favorite two
5Everyday Minerals and Neutrogena
I effing love Bare Escentuals!
6I voted for Bare Escentuals because that's what got me into mineral makeup, but now I use Everyday Minerals. I like it a lot better because it's much more affordable to buy samples of different foundation shades and mix them together for the perfect color. Also, ever since I stopped using BE and started using EM, all the blemishes on my cheeks went away. Apparently I was mildly allergic to something in the BE stuff. O_O
7Laura Mercier. Laura Mercier. Laura Mercier.
Can I tell you how much I love Laura Mercier?!
I just use the porcelain tinted moisturizer - but it really evens me out and provides just the perfect amount of extra moisture to my VERY dry skin.
8Hey, belletrist9!
Regarding your comment, "Also, ever since I stopped using BE and started using EM, all the blemishes on my cheeks went away. Apparently I was mildly allergic to something in the BE stuff."
9I experienced the exact same thing! I developed all these weird red bumps on my cheeks. I initially loved BE, but it just started messing with me too much!
L'oreal True Blend in Alabaster is the best shade and consistency for my super fair combo skin.
10Perscriptives custom blend.
11true match by loreal.. its the bestest best.
12then studio fix by mac
I use Everyday Minerals, which you can only buy online. It's light and matches my skin almost perfectly. Plus, it's affordable, unlike BE.
For liquid foundation, I use L'oreal True Blend (alabaster). It's the only liquid shade that matches my pale skin and it's fairly light, too.
13i love Lancome! it is the only foundation that doesn't make me break out!
14My favorite is Clarins Truly Matte Foundation. I have slighly oily skin and with this foundation I have no shine breakthrough for hours! In the summer, when I'm more oily, I will use Smashbox's Photo Finish (Light) underneath it. No touchups all day! Not even powder
15My all time favorite is Clinique Super Fit Foundation. I just recently bought it and I'm completely in love. It goes on smoothly and it has heavy coverage (which I need) and it stays matte on me all day!
16MAC is the best for me so far. I have rosacea so I need pretty good coverage. No Bare Escentuals for me.
17MAC is what works best for me - use it just about everyday!
18cover girl.
19From that list, Make Up Forever's is definitely the best. Hydrating, lightweight, and with great coverage. It's comparable to MAC coverage, but much smoother and lighter.
Not on that list, I'd recommend Napolean Perdis's China Doll foundation. It's the best I've ever used.
20I wish I could afford to fork over the 60$ for it at retail; sometimes sephora has it for 12.50 but never in stock and never in my shade.
Bare Escentuals is by far the best foundation I've ever used.
21LA Prairie is the best!
22Another vote for Prescriptives.
23I have this really good foundation by Elizabeth Arden that I would swear by....
24Armani is my fave so far.
25Currently, I'm using Sisley which I got as a gift from my mom. It has a texture that's similar to drug store brands' and finish isn't natural at all. However, I swear by Chanel foundations. They have amazing coverage, and they make my skin look so dewy, polished, and satin-y. I've used a few different kinds of Chanel foundations, and every single one of them works so well.
26L'oreal true blend, in Alabaster. only one I can find to match my shade exactly!
27L'Oreal True Blend
28be is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

33Prescriptives Traceless for light but great coverage.(Very natural).
Mac foundation stick for kind of heavier but still natural coverage.
(can double as concealer)
Chantecaille Real Skin compact for sheer, luminous coverage.
34Lancome Teint Idole Ultra! It's wonderful!
35Everyday Minerals
36I'm addicted to Everyday Minerals as well! =)
37La Mer's Fluid Tint SPF 18. It makes your skin just glow!
38I am loving Makeup Forever's HD Invisible Cover foundation. I only need a little bit for great coverage and it is flawless.
39Everyday Minerals for me!
40Loreal Bare Naturale loose powder!! A little goes a long way!
41L'Oreal true blend in Alabaster is the perfect shade for my super fair skin. And I love the consistency...the final result is neither too matte or too dewy.
42Prescriptives for me.
43Actually, make that Prescriptives Virtual Skin - light, natural, but good coverage!
44Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place makeup - I have so many foundations, but this one I go to every time for a perfect finish! I even have dark spots that it evens out, dry skin that it moisturizes, and it always looks perfectly dewy without the oily look. Perfect!!
45L'oreal True Blend
46Perscriptives
47Guerlain
