Big surprise, the black-lipped runway trend didn't exactly take off for Fall. Can't say I'm shocked, particularly because, really, everybody looks healthier with a little color. Still, it can't hurt to try a trend, right?
Judging by the way GiggleSugar shrieked and hid her eyes upon seeing my glossy coal lips, maybe it can. I had Le Métier de Beauté's Black Magic gloss on; it's rich, dense, pigmented and quite luxurious. But I don't think that vinyl-style lips are for me. What do you think?

Never!
1No.
2Bella you're lovely and all but this is doing NOTHING for you...
3I've never understood this trend, it makes everyone look dead and devoid of color. I agree with aimeeb, you're gorgeous but this is not bringing anything to the table. By the way, I am seriously jealous of your eyebrows.
4This isn't very flattering, I don't think I have ever seen it look good on anyone.
5This isn't very flattering, I don't think I have ever seen it look good on anyone.
6umm no. Maybe for Morticia Addams, but not for the living.
7Hmmm...this is a trend everyone could do without
8No. Sorry... this is a bad trend.
9I don't get this trend, either. It's just not that flattering for anyone.
10No, it's not flattering!
11No, I think we should all stick to black nails not lips.
12Nope, not even remotely flattering. And this from a girl who did wear black lipstick in the late 70's/early 80's (along with crazy black hair and many, many petticoats).
Black lips is a trend that should be nailed into a tiny goth coffin and never let out again. Black nails though, love them!
13Hmmmm. Not liking this look on you Bella. But, I have to say that your nose is so cute!! It's perfect!
14Annie, you look FIERCE! I love it! ♥
15No...it's just too Gothy for me.
You have such a gorgeous profile, BTW!
16Pass
17I would have to say I agree with what everyone has said. Black lips = FAIL!
18Not on your part of course. The trend itself.
19YIKES!! no, no
20strictly runway,
or maybe on Broadway
but not for you,
or anyone!!!!
As someone who used to wear black lipstick frequently, I would agree that it doesn't flatter anyone. So unless you don't care how it makes you look, I wouldn't suggest black for anyone.
21No, sorry. I think it washes the colour out of anyone's face!
22Sorry, Bella, this isn't quite working.
23I don't really LIKE it, but it's not THAT bad.
24I don't think this would look nice on anyone!
25Whoa, Annie, whoa. Maybe for Halloween?
26It's prob. just the cool angle and your gorgeous profile, but DAMN this picture looks cool. But I don't recommend this as a regular thing.
27nope, not my thing except for Halloween
28Black lipstick/gloss does not work on anyone. Case closed.
29If you're looking to stay single - wear it, if not - ditch it yesterday!
30Black, no, but deep berries and reds are beautiful.
31i dont like it at all.
32i dont think it should ever be in fashion at all.
I agree with Frappe-- I think it makes you look fierce. Definitely not an everyday look, but hey, no one ever expected it to be.
Personally, I like black lipstick on myself-- but then, I've got really warm skin, and very full lips, so I have a little more... leeway, I guess? My trouble is finding one that actually looks like something-- drugstore halloween specials just look gross after 2 minutes, I don't care who you are.
33Thanks for all the comments, everyone. The funny thing is, Fab tried the gloss and loved it, so I've passed it along to her. I feel like maybe it would be fun to wear this color to a rock show, but I'm going back to my pinks and reds for everyday wear.
34gross
35Yuck.
36I think it looks good and could work for the right setting. Like certain bars or, as you said, a concert. It's a look that very few people appreciate though. And I bet men would HATE it.
37i dont see anything wrong with it but i dont think i would like it on myself...and it really depends on how u wear it....sometimes dramatic lips can set a nice contrast
38Looking at those lips, the word "kissable" doesn't come to mind. I'm not buying it!
39To be honest, I think it really only "works" in the context of a "concept look" - like a costume or a photo shoot or something like that. Real life, real people? Not so much. Not that you aren't gorgeous, but that gloss... uufffff.
40Annie, someone should put that picture in a high-fashion magazine. You are seriously gorgeous.
41For everyday normal wear, hell no.
But like Bella said it would be fun to wear to a rock show or perhaps a private, play dress-up photo shoot or something.
42Not so bad. I expected it to be lots scarier. I think you're wearing it fairly well considering it is black lipgloss. It almost works, just not in real life, more for fun. Cool pic, though.
43Ewww!
44This looks good for runway and photography, but I can't see it in real life, hon.
45I wore it back in the late 80's , but then again it went with my outfits. Never would wear it now, unless it was halloween
46I think it looks amazing! Especially in the pic. your profile n lips pulls it off really well lol!
But i do agree with everyone...in the right contaxt it would work...evryday use...not so much.
47In Real life.. it's hard to pull off. in print it looks awesome!
48Bella, I think even in black lipstick you look beautiful!
49I actually kind of like it in a theatrical way, or if you were taking pictures for fun, but it's not something I'd see anyone leaving the house in.
