I think I like all of these, except for the "herbaceous" or "mossy" smelling ones. Yuck. I love vanilla-scented fragrances best. And florals too, as long as there are other notes mixed in and they're not old lady-ish.
1My favourites are Oriental and Citrus.
2Awesome post!
3Oriental, gormand and florals are probably my favorite ones and for florals that includes the "old lady" ones. I don't necessarily like some of the "young" scents.
4Sephora has a scent finder that is awesome too. You can either put in the particular type you like or your favorite scent in general and it will categorize the rest for you. A great way to try something new!
5Perfume is what I'm really into, I don't wear makeup or anything like that
6I like gourmands that aren't candy-ish and I like orientals
My favorite perfumes are leathery and rubbery though (like Bvlgari Black)
I kind of don't like Gourmand and Citrus scents. Chypre and Fougere (never heard of that term) are nice.

8I like mostly Oriental, Fougere, and Floral scents. I'm backing off citrus scents as I used them too often.
