The Google says the title of this December 2008 Vogue Russia editorial translates to "Fatal Beautiful," but I'm just going to say that it means "Wild, Inspiring, and Cool Photo Shoot." (Just rolls off the tongue, da?)
The ever-talented makeup artist Val Garland created these colorful looks, the likes of which might be hard to pull off in regular life but are a ton of fun to look at nonetheless. And if nothing else, these photos serve as a fun way to brighten your day.

Not that I would ever wear it, but that leopard print 'lipstick' is really neat effect! I wonder how long it took the make-up artists to get that on the model's lips.
1Neat but obviously not something I would wear.
2I love the blue eye and gold/orange lip. My friend has a very unadult way of wearing colors. That look would be a step up in sophistication. As for me, I'm going to bookmark this page, because the face with the ruffled shirt would be great for night out when I'm wearing my ruffles shirts and velvet jackets.
3fierce!
4Oh, I love the intense colors and bold looks.
5Truly artistic!
6not everyday ... but good to look at in a magzine spread ...
7Wicked cool! I love the vaguely Grace Jones aspect of the styling, really strong.
8I wish American Vogue would get on the same page as the international Vogues. The international versions are far superior to the American version. I have stopped by the American one because it is so boring. I love looking at spreads like this. I know Im never going to wear makeup like that but its always great to look at for inspiration
9These makeup looks are pretty cool.
10I agree with JessNess, the foreign editions of Vogue are ALWAYS more amazing. One of my favorite pastimes when I'm traveling is to get international Vogues!
The concepts and color choices are simply stunning in this Russian spread. I just could not stop looking at not only the makeup but the nails!
Is it "fantasy"? Yes, to a large degree, but there is also a lot of inspiration here to create some very wearable, fresh looks.
11Very true JessNess and palacinkabeauty. Foreign Vogues are truly high fashion and awe-inspiring; the American Vogue has become just another glam mag like Glamour, Marie Claire etc. It doesn't have that 'untouchable' grandness (anymore).
12Very 80s.
13Ohhh this looks like so much fun... just imagine all the experimentation and all the products that went into these looks... *drool*
