You voted, and the results were clear. The Best Concealer of 2008 was Bare Minerals. So, I decided to check out the ever-expanding Product Reviews page to find out more for myself. While the product overall ranks 3.5 out of 5 stars (not too shabby), reader Ehouse had a mediocre opinion on Bare Escentuals BareMinerals Well-Rested For Eyes ($18), calling it just "an OK pale eye shadow." Check out her review below:
"This is a perfectly OK pale vanilla toned eyeshadow, and works fine as a base color. I didn't find it effective as a concealer. Most of us would have to be careful about using a powder like this under the eye anyway, as it tends to settle in the fine lines. It can be mixed with a moisturizer if you're determined to try to use it as a concealer."

I agree with Ehouse, it's just ok. I've never felt that BE gives me the coverage I desire. If you have perfect skin it's probably great, but it's definitely not a 'cover up that huge blemish' type make up.
1I disagree brianna. I have acne and BE really does a good job of covering it. I like that it's not liquid, too. Liquid makeup feels gross on blemished skin.
2I've not tried Well Rested, but it's rated above 4 stars on Sephora.
Well Rested is okay, but there's better concealers in my opinion.
3Haven't used it yet...I find using their all over face powder works just fine to conceal.
4I use the elf mineral makeup and love it. The prices absolutely can't be beat, and there always seems to be a deal or bonus going on.
5I am confused. Their concealer is not Well Rested it is Bisque. You can use Well Rested as a concealer but the one that won was Bisque no?
6Never tried this, but I probably wouldn't...don't need it.
7BE user here - Well Rested was never intended to be a concealer, it was first marketed as an eyeshadow but a lot of us user found it was great as a shadow base/primer and it is. I'm very oily and it works wonders for me and never settles in my 50 year old lines. Been using it for 7/8 maybe 9 years now and couldn't be happier!
8BE is really the only makeup I can use on my crazy sensitive acne-prone skin. Though I do understand a lot of people are really sensitive to it and other MMU's for some reason. I like Well Rested. I put it down for a long time in favor of Benefit's eye brighteners but I'm getting back into Well Rested again for my lids -- it's really great on the eyelids to even out any dark tones and to brighten up the eye. Good as a shadow primer, too (b/c it evens out those tones before shadow goes on). But as for a concealer... I like other products better for UNDER the eye coverage, but it is still a good option for me.
9when i bought my BE the woman helping me at the store used bisque as a concealer and then well rested in the inner corners, etc. as a brightener - i think comparable to something like benefit eyebright
10Everyday Minerals is the best mineral make-up. Everyday Minerals Peach concealer with Sunlight concealer on top = darkest of dark circles eraser. For dark circles, you need a salmon colored concealer to cancel out the purple/blue.
