Anne Hathaway has definitely developed a sophisticated style — particularly in the past year, no? So it's becoming expected that she'll do something fresh and unique during red carpet events. At last night's premiere of Bride Wars, the actress did not disappoint. Her simple black blazer and skinny pants were amped up with a satin headband and full-volume fall. What are you thinking of this style? Is it an oldie-but-goodie or is it just old-fashioned?

Hate her, love the hair.
I think it's okay...not my favorite look for her, but kinda cute.
I love Anne, she's one of my favorites.
I love her hair here! Bella, can you do a how-to on this hairstyle??
It's so fake...
luv anne but it kinda reminds me of sarah palin...nothing against sarah i just dont like the hair
Are those Paris Hilton's headband extension lines? LOL
lol Tabloid! I actually like the look though. Very classic and pretty.
I little too beauty pageant bouffant for me. Still love Anne though!
I love it! It's a fun, cute 'do
wow, I thought it would be 95% hate it.
It looks so bad from the side!
I love big hair. Anne's skin always looks so gorgeous. I wish mine looked that clear.
Love Anne Hathaway. Hate that hair style.
It's OK. I love Anne but she's looked better.
Martinilush- I would put money on her having a fall piece clipped into her hair
I don't think the hair suits her features very well at all.
She's got a bad case of the Bump-It's! @_@
[anybody ever use those things?! They're supposed to give volume to your hair and make it look like Sarah Palin's do...what a waste of $$$!!]
Jess, you are probably right!!!
can you do a how-to please?
love her, she can do no wrong in my eyes. And she is forever Andy/Emily to me
She looks like a go go dancer...
The more I look at it, the more I think she's wearing a hairpiece. Note the complete evenness of the bouffant hair and how all that hair is perfectly curled inward EXCEPT for the hair on the very far sides that tucks underneath the curl. The poof is a shade or two darker than the rest of her hair too. I think she pulled up most of her real hair and then put in a hair piece to create the poof.
Either way, she looks beautiful in this picture.
i think the style is a little over the top to be worn by "normal" people aka NOT on the red carpet, kind of like the makeup and hair of models on runway shows, but i think a toned down version could be pretty cute if done right
bump its! thank you! exacktly what i thought when i saw this.i probably would have put love it if i hadnt seen those wretched commercials.
it looks cute
I think she is very pretty but she looks like a horse here.
Uh, anne hathaway. I've said it before and i'll say it again: I don't like her. Something about her just drives me nuts. I wish I liked her
I love her but I dont think it's a good look for her.
I like her, but I'm really undecided on the hair... I like the sleekness, but I'm not really digging the bouffant...
I love it! It looks great on her.
Hate it! It looks like a fake weave ponytail.
is she wearing that thing from the infomercials called bump its?
Hate it. I feel like she has to have a less severe pulled back hair do because her facial features are so strong (big eyes, HUGE mouth)
I love this but i don't think i could ever pull it off. Kudos to anne for trying
No,I don't like it
She pulled a Fran Drescher.
#35 that's exactly what I thought. Fran Drescher from The Nanny!
I am really surprised that so many people like this - I personally think it's awful, not because it's old fashioned (old-fashioned is usually good - just look at pretty much anything from the 20's to the 50's), but because I don't think it ever looked good, and because it is super unflattering on her - it makes her face look longer, her nose look bigger, and her mouth/teeth look horse-like. I don't mean to be so cruel; she is one of my favorite young actresses and style icons today, but as someone who also has a large nose and a wide face, I know that certain hairstyles don't work for me and often over-emphasize my flaws (not that I have any problem with my assets; they're just parts that need to be shown a certain way in my opinion). she is in the class of Hilary Swank and Jennifer Garner who are beautiful woman, as long as they're hair is down and framing their face - pulled back ponytails do not work on those kind of faces (believe me, I know)...

I just don't like it on her.
Looks good from the front, crap from the side.
Something about her seriously annoys me. Hate the hair (it looks fake and overdone), really don't like her.
I think it's brave! It's different and it works for her, I love it! ..Wouldn't try it but looks fab on her.
i love it!its so cute on her
I like it. I'm not sure why.
I like it, it's a different look for her
I love her but it is a terribly un-modern style. Reminds me of an Austin Powers movie.
i really don't like this look on her. like somebody said before, it doesn't do anything for her facial features.
I think she looks good.
i'm likey, just dont like her face
I don't like it on her.
