About a month ago, I asked you who you thought would be the face of the newly announced Dolce & Gabbana makeup line. Most of you guessed Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, but those of you who had a hunch it was Scarlett Johansson were right. Of their newly tapped spokesperson, Gabbana told WWD, "Scarlett is sure of herself." He added, "She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana."
Learn about what item will be the core of the line, along with the inspiration behind the shade choices when you read more.
The luxe collection will roll out at the beginning of February at Saks' Beverly Hills and Fifth Avenue stores, with colors inspired by vivid blues from the Mediterranean, the dark burgundy shade of dahlia (Gabbana's favorite flower), and gold and black from Stromboli. As for the packaging, it captures Dolce & Gabbana’s deluxe style with shiny gold tones and curved edges. A long time coming, Dolce & Gabbana Makeup will feature rose-scented lipstick ($30) at the heart of the line, along with a peppery mascara ($28). Besides bronzing powder, lip gloss, eye and lip pencils, and blush, expect to see eye shadow duos ($36), nail lacquer ($20), and powder foundation ($59), too.

She looks great!
1Pretty ad but I'm sick of celebrities as models. Let the professionals do their job!
2"She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana." I puked a little when I read that line. Give me a break.
3She IS beautiful but she looks like she's on Valium here.
4I don't like this ad at all... she looks strung out and is working too hard to get the photo. I don't think she is very D&G. Isn't she working for Loreal too?
5I really like the vintage-y look she's rocking here, especially the corset + red lipstick combo. I'll be interested to see the makeup line itself - the black & gold shadow combo sounds very interesting!
6I thought she was with L'Oreal as well and I also dislike the ad. She looks old and too made up, which is really an accomplishment since she is so young and naturally beautiful!
7peppery mascara? am i the only one confused here? =]
8It's photoshop perhaps,but I really don't care..she looks so gorgeous
9D&G is very much tight leopard print dresses with a corsetted top making everyone's boobs just up to there. I think she fits the profile of D&G.
10And though she make look strung out... did nobody hear of "heroin chic" in the 90's? I know I'm not THAT old.
I didn't think it'd be Scarlett because I know she does L'Oreal campaigns...guess she does both now? She looks gorgeous.
11Wow. I really do not like this. She looks more like Anna Nicole than Marilyn Monroe. They should have left it fresh and clean. Not this goopy over done Christina Aguilera type mess.
*The hair looks like a cheap crunchy wig.
12She looks beautiful, she looks good always though.
13she should look good, it's a makeup ad! the line seems kind of expensive though, on par with the chanel and dior lines. and that's why i don't have anything from them!
14These colors are beautiful! I especially love the blue shadow duo. A little bird told me the color payoffs are great! I am super excited to buy them and play!!!!!
15Um. Peppery mascara sounds like a torture device. Huh???
16This has to be a joke. She looks like a drunk tranny.
17marylin is probably sick of herself by now ... how much she's being replicated. ahem ...sorry 'honored'.
18She's a pretty girl...so why did they have to make up her to look like a tranny dressed as Marilyn Monroe? And not only is the whole ad unflattering, it's as tired as the look on Scarlett's face.
19ok whats with the freakin tranny comments??????????
20i dont like how she looks in this ad
21normally i like how she looks but not this one
