I'm often amazed at the high cost of certain beauty products. A $200 haircut? The frugal gal in me can't help but start formulation scenarios as to what else I could do with that kind of dough. Fifteen pairs of shoes at Payless. Eighty-seven boxes of whole wheat pasta, perhaps. You get the point. So, let's test your knowledge. Can you guess which is more expensive?

1Seriously?!?! I'm shocked at these prices!!! I'm trying desperately to keep our second car and people actually spend $800 for a haircut?
2I agree doogirl. I can't even afford to fix the leak in my roof and people are dropping that kind of cash to look good?
3I say we start a campaign to marry rich!
lol I'd rather burn money on an education
though.

5$800 on a haircut? $700 for the Atelier makeup kit? Wow. Needless to say, I didn't do well on this quiz.
6I thought people were cutting back on luxuries given the state of the economy...I guess that's only some people.
7why would a makeup box EVER cost $700? do actual people buy these things?
8Haha at the Debbie Gibson question!

I would never spend $800 on a haircut!
My sylist costs AU$50 for a cut, style and wash. He's awesome at what he does but to save some cash I've started cutting my hair myself.

Hate to break it to ya, big spenders, but you're wasting at LEAST 700 of those dollars. Even a hundred dollar haircut sounds excessive to me, and while I freak out over mine all the time, it's HAIR. you can't do magic tricks with it. 800 dollars wont get you that far ahead.
14With the state of our economy, the only people left who can afford this kind of WASTEFULNESS are the CEO'S who've overrewarded THEMSELVES for running their companies into the ground and stealing taxpayers money and Celebs - who could very well make a difference in our world by helping others. I'm hoping the next "Go-around" of closings are these companies who overcharge for their wares!!!!!
