I tried the ploping. Loved the results. I didn't know my curls could look so good. I don't think a towel will ever touch my head again. Now if I could only find a non-sulfate shampoo for less that $5.

The other one I use has a sulfate and thats matrix biolage ultra hydrating shampoo and that because I love it tooo musch to let it go. I use four different poo's and condi's becuz my hair gets used to ingredients quickly and this helps sustain my hair healthy better by alternating every week.......I poo once a week , and when I'm curly I do condition washes like every other day or so

I LOVE pureology products...I have really long, chemically treated hair and it is truly the best that I have ever used.

i cant spend less than 30 min in the hair care isle. they give us sooo many options (dont get me wrong i appreciate it) that i keep saying to myself,"do i need super intense moisturizer? or jojoba? or whatever new additive they are pushing?" i also am very skeptical so i dont believe the shampoo will do what it says. also im a cheap skate (but if i know its good i will pay the price)

I have yet to invest in a sulfate free shampoo, there are just so many and some just don't work for my hair and I end up wasting $8-12 a pop on them.

Plus these days EVERYTHING causes some sort of cancer...

I love pureology shampoo, conditioner and hairspray for over a year and it's made a huge difference in my hair. I couldn't go back to anything else.

I too use the Abba Moisture Scentsation shampoo, and I adore it! I love a good peppermint-y shampoo to wake me up in the morning. I've got super straight hair, so i can't comment on how it'll treat you curly girls, but i love it. It's actually now called Pure Moisture, I think.

I also use Abba's Nourishing, which is a leave on/leave in conditioner for hair and skin. Never used it on my skin, but it works nicely on my hair. It too has a new name, but i'm too lazy to check.

For those of you girls who live in the northeast, or near a Christmas Tree Shops (I think they've expanded west... a bit), check their cosmo section out. That's where I got mine for i think 1.99 each. Abba recently changed their packaging/labeling, so that's why these are there.

I've been using sulfate-free shampoo for awhile now...my favorite is the Burt's Bees Green Tea/Color Keeper one. It's awesome and fairly inexpensive.

I've really been trying to go more "green" with my beauty and healthcare products.

I have curly hair I love love love enjoy luxury sulfate free shampoo! It's a little pricey but I think it's worth it!

bedhead superstar is another one to add to this list (it smells amazing...something like strawberry cream).
i rotate between the samy smooth & pureology nanoworks (of the three i just listed, i actually like the samy the best--and it is the cheapest), but am curious about other lines to add to the rotation...has anyone with coloured hair tried the organix shea butter or l'oreal everpure?

how about the drugstore ones? Anyone try those (everpure/samy)? I prefer to try out a shampoo before I commit to a bottle, seriously i only shampoo 1-2 a week so I'm stuck with a bottle forever.

pureology is awesome. i use hydrate and finish it off with their leave-in conditioner (instantrepair). one thing that gets me about this brand is their prices... yuck. i asked a sales associate from a hair salon if there were any cheaper alternatives to this and she said that "Enjoy" is a good dupe. she said that the maker of the brand used to work for pureology.. interesting...

Any suggestion on what to get in the UK? I think I've only ever seen the Burt's Bees one here.

redbloodedwoman- organix has SLS in all of their shampoos...I was so happy that I found something less than 5 dollars that was suppose to be 'organic' but then after reading the ingredients list... =(

Lush has sls free solid shampoos, apparently they are very good.
I've just purchased and started using burt's bees super shiny grapefruit shampoo and conditioner...hopefully it'll live up to its name!

thanks nimue:) now that you mention it, i think i remember reading the label on one of the bottles of organix a while ago and leaving it b/c of the sls (the name suckered me into giving it a look too)...oh, well at least we have other options!

i used pureology for a while but it was so damn expensive i started seeking out alternatives. and surprisingly, i like what I found better. Thermafuse (www.thermafuse.com) is hands down the best hair care line i've ever tried. not only is it sulfate free, it coats your hair in proteins and silicon and activates when exposed to heat, giving your hair a deep conditioning. I blow dry and straighten every day and my hair has never been healthier. Plus the styling products are so incredible. they last forever and are all under $20 (most are 12-15). My hair looks, feels, and even smells great. I think shampoo and conditioner costs 14 each, but it depends where you go to get it.

Cool, I didn't know that Bella did a follow up to her no poo post. These are great, I didn't know about pureology or geovanni brands I will definitely look into those.

I think L'Occitane revamped their line and they have some new sulfate free options.

I use Pureology products. I have alot of them. My girlfriend who is a hairdresser got me started on them. It is the best product out there that I have tried so far. My hair has been in the best shape ever because of it. Now all of our other friends use the products as well. There is a noticeably better difference in their hair too. The only draw back to this product is that it is really expensive. Figures!!!

I've been using Loreal's Ever Pure line and I'm pretty happy with the results. Plus it smells nice too and for $6 (more or less) a bottle - it's perfect!!!!

I love the sulfate free shampoo idea but I like me a little suds. So my question is do any of these shampoos sud up?

I use Sulfate-free shampoo from Lush. It lathers pretty well. It's around $10 a bar, but it last a long time!
