Did you know that mascara is one of the most widely reviewed makeup items on the Product Reviews website? And now it's reader Mrsoh's turn to tell us about one of her favorites, L'Oreal 2-Step Volume Construction Waterproof Mascara ($13.50). Here's what she has to say about this "good buy":
I like this mascara a lot. I don't have full lashes but they are pretty long. Therefore, I always look for volume mascara and this works wonders on my Asian eyelashes. I get compliments every time I use it; it looks like I have fake eyelashes on. The only downside is that this mascara is a little difficult to take off.

Hmmmm sounds pretty okay, although I hate mascara that is a chore to remove.
1I absolutely LOATHE waterproof mascara.
2i can attest, this stuff makes your lashes look INSANELY thick and long.....it's perfection for anytime you really really don't want a single flake, smudge, etc...it will NOT move....and done right, amazing. I use this constantly for weddings....and a good trick is to use the regular version on your top lashes, then the waterproof on the bottom....perfect combo

4this is my favorite mascara, I have tried nearly every drug store brand, plus the pricey brands, MAC, Dior, Lancome, Fiber wig you name it [and an empty wallet to prove it lol] but this I must say is one of my favorites, while yes it is a b*tch to take off although Purity face wash by Philosophy works amazingly well, it makes my lash look instantly thick, long and dark and doesn’t smear. They d have non-waterproof version but nowhere near the same results.
5i have longish lashes too - i'm asian - so i think i will need to try this mascara!
6I already have some good mascara tubes, but I think I'll try this one, too!
7i have the shiseido lasting lift mascara, which is also absolutely horrible to take off, but it keeps your lashes curled until you remove it. I've found that for waterproof mascaras, you need oil based removers, or they won't budge.
