Loose powder metallic eye shadows are amazing and easy-to-apply bursts of color. Shimmery shades for eyes are very trendy right now, and these loose shadows are great for gals on the go.
You apply these shadows the same way you would loose face powder: Just shake some powder into the cap and dip your shadow brush in. You can use the shimmer on your eyes and to brighten your whole face. But use sparingly: Loose shadows spread easily, so just a touch will do the trick. Here are two of the latest loose powder metallic eye shadows for Summer.
Glam Rocks by Lorac ($16) are sparkly and sassy loose powder shadows packed in a small container that looks like a salt shaker. These easily blendable colors glide on smoothly and last a long time, so you can party the night away without worry. Glam Rock come in three shades: Metallic Copper, Metallic Pearl, and Metallic Gold.

they seem kind of messy to use...
1I love this look! I just got a bunch of samples from Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics, they have some gorgeous metallic and shimmer shades.
2Oh, I want one of these. Man I have to make a trip to Sephora!
3BTW... Bare Essentuals makes GREAT metallic loose powder shadows!
4Very pretty!
5I love loose powder shadows!! The Lorac looks great!! I've been really disappointed in Lancome's La Poudre Aux Yeux.
Which is sad, because I'm a Lancome girl at heart. The shades in their spring collection were very shimmery but hardly pigmented. I'll have to check the new shades
out!
6I was going to say the same thing, prissy. Bare Escentuals has some great metallic shadows. I got a set of three and one is gold, one has an orange-ish tint, and one is shimmery cocoa. I love them all and they are great for jazzing up your look.
Bummer about the Lancome, Jen!
7I love metallic eyeshadows....I've noticed Jennifer Love Hewitt wears them alot on her show, they look gorgeous.
8I love loose powder shadow! And metallic makes them even better. I would love to try the bronze Lorac one.
9i love it!!!
10Why no silvers?? Why??
11the lorac bottle is so cute!!
12powder eye shadows (?) always scare me cuz they seem to fly everywhere and get into my eyes and sometimes mouth..having allergies to dusty things and everything it really isn't my choice of makeup.
13Wouldn't these easily make a mess?
14I am very interested in this new type of makeup. I keep seeing it pop up. I don't know how to use it. Is it easy to use? Can you blend it with other color like power shadows? It really looks interesting.
