How's this for a bold makeup look? French actress Marion Cotillard, who plays Edith Piaf in the upcoming biopic La Vie en Rose, took smoky eyes to a new level at the movie's New York premiere. This certainly isn't everyday eye makeup, but there's something oh-so French about the severe shadow paired with pale lips. What do you think?

18I have mixed feelings about this look. I think it works for some people but not others, and it also depends on what else the person is wearing with regards to outfit and makeup.

I'd have to say that this look is better suited to night time wear. It looks like she's wearing it in the daytime. It does look great with the lip color though.

46I don't like how they applied the eyeshadow. All they did was smeared it all over the lid and put some under her eyes.

48i think she applied it wrong... i think she should have black powder mixed with grey on the lids because it looks like she got two blackeyes...
49This is pretty much my go-to look (I only wear makeup at night, anyhow). I love it...but maybe that's because I'm used to it.
