I am so excited about this new invention. For years, I have been taking dangerously sharp objects, like scissors and knives, and popping out the unfavorable colors in my makeup palettes so I could "customize" them. Now, thanks to the new Pop In Color Palette by Mark ($6), I can stop bending the rims on my eye-shadow pans and gluing in new ones.

With this slender customizable palette, you can create your own palette combo any day of the week. The compact comes with four empty slots, which you can fill with Mark lip glosses ($5), eye shadows ($5), and gel eye liners ($5). With a total of eight shades, you can do some serious mixing and matching, and it's also a great product for frequent travelers. The palette comes with a mirror and a dual-ended brush for easy application.

Great invention.
1It is, but what are Mark Cosmetics like? Any good? Does anyone know?
2I just researched and found that they're a subsidiary of Avon. So the quality is probably comparable.
3Intersting
4too bad they don't have a uk branch. looks interesting, but I'd like to know the quality first ..
5I've used some of their stuff and really like it. I've used some eyeshadows which I thought lasted really well.
6very interesting.
7I meant to say they also have fun stuff like costume jewelry and handbags, in fact, I'm wearing one of their new necklaces today.
8I sold Avon for awhile (and thus Mark. as well) and wasn't too impressed with the eye shadows. There is not a lot of pigment and I was typically disappointed with the products. They do have a gloss called 'Glossnblossom' or something that goes on clear and changes a subtle pink/red tone that is great for summer. Products were kind of hit or miss. As far as this one goes, I would think having to open the little caps every time would get annoying.
9By the way, I adore their perfumes (Mark.) especially Karmala and the prices are great but the scent generally doesn't last long.
10i haven't tried Mark yet, but its marketing makes it the Avon for our generation. its inexpensive enough to get try all the trendy colors w/o committing a lot of budget to it.
11oh my gosh how fun!
12I actually sell mark. and I dont have to like it and I LOVE their products. They are really awesome and everything is guarenteed. I got this palette about 3 months ago to play with before it came out and its so fun. Everything is so soft and not at all sticky and it has a great smell. Seriously I am not blowing smoke. I have lots of very expensive makeup and my favorites are still mark things. They are inexpensive and always up with the latest trends.
13how cool! i like avon products. they must be good to have been around this long. my grandma loved her visits from the avon lady.
14It's a great idea, now if MAC would do something similar...
15mary kay has given buyers this option for years... it's so great to be able to customize! they even give you two options. a small one:

and a big one:

i am OBSESSED with their shadows. they're pretty much all i use!
I wonder if this palette would fit the MAC eye shadows....that would be really awesome.
17I think that is really cute but as of now they don't have many choices of pop-in productst to put in the pallete. I hope they increase the selection to go with it!
18This is a really good idea for a compact. I don't think I would like to have to open the top every time I wanted to use a color though and the compact is a little clunky looking. It would be nice if there were more color selections as well. It might be something work looking into.
19this is a great idea! that way, you don't have to spend extra cash on buying another pallete just the colors... plus! you take put the color you want to take depending on your mood! great idea!!!
20This sounds really convenient. From my experiences, Avon wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad either. Could be worth a try.
21I've bought a few items from Avon in the past; the skincare is pretty bland and the Mark line seems to be angled more towards teenagers with all the sheer washes of color and nothing too dramatic but I do like the make-up products. It just depends though because, as someone mentioned, it tends to be hit-or-miss.
This, however, looks promising!
