Reader Emalove must have been reading my mind. I recently ran out of makeup remover, and although I thought I could go without for a while, I'm definitely in the market to try a new one — particularly one that won't break the bank. Neutrogena's
Oil-Free Makeup Remover ($6) Emalove's favorite. Here's why:
I love this eye makeup remover. It is by far the best inexpensive one that I've tried. I despise greasy-feeling, oily makeup removers, so this one fit the bill right from the start. It feels really cool and light on your skin and removes all traces of my eye makeup. I don't use waterproof mascara, so not sure how it would work on that, but it removes my washable mascara in one or two swipes. It's gentle, and best of all, I don't have to rub or tug on my eye area.

Sounds lovely.
1This stuff is great, but I haven't been as impressed with the eye make-up remover pads from Neutrogena. This stuff is way better.
2I love this stuff. I do use water proof mascara and it takes it off fairly quickly.
3Bella, great minds think alike, right?!
4LOVE this product. Takes off eyeliner, eyeshadow and even waterproof mascara. Target makes a similar store brand in a tiny travel size, and it's so much more convenient than schlepping this giant bottle in my suitcase and risking a spill.
5I love this product. It's inexpensive - and does the job as well (or better) as some of the other expensive brands I've tried. I use it every night religiously - and find it's a good place to save $$$. I spend extra money on moisturizers instead!!
A little tip... I find if you shake it a little before you use it - it works even better.
6I've tried this one, didn't like it so much. Almay makeup remover pads are by far the best, high end... low end... any end.
7Glad to hear this is good.
I actually just bought a bottle of this, but I haven't
used it yet.
8I agree with gemin, Almay makeup remover pads are the best. I have used this before, and I did like it. it actually does leave you a little oily, but it feels good on your skin. I just prefer Almay because they do the same without leaving your skin oily, plus you don't have to use cotton balls or remover pads...
9i hate this stuff..despite it saying being oil free it leaves an oily film on my eyes that really burns..ugh
10Love these, but also love Ponds makeup removing wipes. They are fab, and they also come in travel size, which is great!
11Neutrogena's Oil-Free Makeup Remover is the best one I have ever used.... removes everything and anything but is gentle... You do need to shake it up since it's an emulsion....
12I paid around $5 a bottle but a little goes a LONG way. I always buy this item when I need it!
