After mentioning L'Oreal Pure Zone Pore Unclogging Scrub Cleanser in my Bliss review yesterday, I figured I might as well follow up with a review. Not only is this L'Oreal cleanser ($6.49) one of my favorite drugstore finds, but it's also similar to the Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash ($22) that many of you said was out of your price rang.
Like Bliss's product, L'Oreal's cleanser has a blue, gel-like texture interspersed with tiny exfoliating beads to unclog your pores. L'Oreal's cleansing beads are actually much larger than the Bliss beads, so it feels like the L'Oreal wash is more effective. It's hard to say if it is, though, so read more
I've used this product on my combination skin for months on end, and I really do love the way it feels. It has a slight cooling sensation and a refreshing scent that really wakes me up in the morning. I only wish that L'Oreal Pore Unclogging Cleanser were a bit foamier (like Bliss), because the lack of lather probably makes me use more than I need.
Though I didn't notice a dramatic difference in the quality of my complexion after using this product, it certainly didn't have any negative effects. L'Oreal Pore Unclogging Cleanser doesn't leave my skin too oily or too dry, and it's great for controlling breakouts. If you like Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, you don't be disappointed in this alternative.

This facewash (and the Bliss one) sound similar to one I got in London a couple of years ago that I absolutely love. It's Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Deep Pore Wash. Back then I was bummed to find out that Garnier's skin care line wasn't available state-side, but I'm not sure if that's still the case.
1oooh this was too drying on my skin.
2Cool, I'll be sure to check this out sometime.
3if this is step 1 of the process (on the bottle it says Step 1), any reviews on the other steps?
4something i'd buy for my bf, he use something else similar by loreal in an orange package from China which he got on his trip back recently and it works like a wonder. I wonder if this control oil well?hmm...
5I love to use this stuff in the summertime, when my skin gets really oily.
6I don't think I'd use it during the winter though - probably too drying.
thoroughlymodern- garnier now does (as of a few months ago) have a skin care line here in the states- but I haven't seen that product. Maybe it's under a new name. I like their skin renew.
7i am going to try this
8I LOVE this cleanser! I have been using it for a few years now (since it first came out). About a month ago, it started disappearing from all the stores so I thought they discontinued it and I PANICKED!!! I had to buy something else and I ended up with like 10 different things that I thought would be the same as the Pure Zone because the ingredients were the same. Well my skin broke out HORRIBLY! I just got some more 2 weeks ago at my Target and my skin is finally starting to get back to normal! Maybe they were just re-vamping the line? All I know, is when I finally found it again, I bought 3 bottles!!
9I'll try it!
10Im having trouble with breakouts along the jawline and across my forehead. Not acne, just little pimples and blakheads. I will definitely try this stuff. Thanks for the heads up.
11Yay! that's my face stuff! they don't sell it at every drug store or grocery store, so I've sometimes had to look around for it. I've used the scrub and the toner from this line since I was 17. The grit is tougher than other brand's scrubbing cleansers, but that's what I like about it. I always thought Neutrogena and Clean and Clear were okay if I had to buy them, but this is always my first choice.
12GlamrGirl, I thought it was discontinued too! lol It was marked down at Target a few weeks back so I stocked up!
