Sometimes laziness or overindulgence happens. In those cases, I don't feel like going through the whole process of my nightly face-care ritual, but I also don't want to wake up the next morning with makeup and mascara melting down my face from the previous day. That's where facial wipes come into play. Recently, I tried Clean and Clear Makeup Dissolving Facial Cleansing Wipes ($6) on a particularly sluggish one-petit-syrah-too-many evening.
With 25 wipes in the package, I figure each sheet costs just under a quarter — a fairly reasonable price. While nothing beats the old facial soap and water routine, I like having these wipes on hand in a pinch, and even as a little refresher before touching up my makeup for after-work cocktails. I appreciate the fact that these wipes are oil-free, do not have an overly strong odor, and did not leave behind a burning sensation. Don't expect these sheets to eliminate all traces of your makeup, but you can expect to feel good that at least some makeup removal effort was put forth before heading to bed. Now only if they could remove a hangover . . .

Sound pretty okay but I'd rather just use soap and water.
Im weird and prefer wipes haha water and soap always end up dripping down my arms and into my sleeves or onto the floor so i like the wipes for my face
these are cheaper than the ones i've been using so maybe i'll give them a whirl, thanks!
I hate washing my face at night too, so I'm always using wipes. It's so much easier.
I love makeup remover wipes (I use Ponds)! A quick wipe over the face and then I follow up with cleanser. I do this regime to ensure my makeup is completely off my face. But I can see how it could be overkill for people with very dry skin.
I prefer wipes too. ESPECIALLY after a late night... No wiping the counter/floor down so I don't take a spill in the am. Love this review, Bella!.
I always use face wipes too. I buy the ones from Costco because for about $11 they last me 2 months. I prefer the ones from the Body Shop that have vitamin E, but they're too expensive. I've never understood how to wash my face with soap and water without ruining my bangs (I don't wash my hair everyday) and getting my arms and the entire bathroom wet. I do wash with soap when I wash my hair, which is every 3 days.
UGH. I rely on these too much. Too lazy, you see.
I don't prefer wipes over my regular facial cleanser and water, but I DO like them for beach and camping trips. I haven't tried this brand though...sounds pretty decent.
I haven't used this particular brand but I love using face wipes! They are perfect for athletic people like me. I work out or am doing something outside once or even twice a day and like to remove all makeup from my face before my workout. If I washed my face each time, my skin would get dried out and then the oil glands would kick into over time. The wipes are perfect for maintaining a good skin moisture balance. I think every brand is pretty similar (Olay, Neutrogena, WalMart Equate brand)...
I wish I could like these as much as everyone else seems to. I guess I have sensitive skin so when I first started using them they gave my face a burning sensation and made it extra sensitive. On top of that they don't leave me feeling particularly fresh and leave a funny looking residue.
I like using the make-up wipes but only as a pre-wash because I use foundation virtually everyday for work, and I find the best way to get rid of all the dirt is to do a follow-up cleaning with an Aveeno cleanser (my skin is also oily so it doesn't irritate my skin). I've tried the ones that are described in this post, but didn't like them b/c they felt oily even though they are oil-free. I love the Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Wet Cleansing Towelettes -- Oil Free.
beauty requeres work, even if i'm super drunk i get my ass into my bathroom and wash and moisturize my skin. there's no excuse not to. i'm not saying i do it perfectly or efficiently, but i'm trying. somehow afterwards i feel like i deserve my splurges and expensive skincare afterwards. because i'm comitted
i LOVE wipes at nite....i too get the dripping down the arms thing....
I saw the Riversol products in the Emmy swag bags as well as in numerous Canadian beauty mags. All the make up artists swear by dermatologist Dr. Rivers skincare line. Samples or products? Where can you help me find them?? I want them for my fashion and film make up kits.
Love the facial wipes at night!! I use the Costco ones first to remove all makeup and then follow up with the Biore anti-acne ones to further clean and leave a film of salicylic acid on my face to prevent breakouts.
These are good and so cheap!
I'm so lazy when it comes to washing my face at night. lol I'm going to buy these but not rely on them too much, or try not to. haha Thanks for posting.
I actually love these. I've ran out and I just haven't been able to go get some more. I like these because yeah you can keep them next to your bed and remove the makeup but I liked that if you have raccoon eyes after they shower they work for that too. They're quick and fast.
