Over the weekend, I commenced gardening season by planting my annual beefsteak tomatoes. At the end of the day, as I looked down at my fruitful accomplishment, I realized I'd been stricken with the dreaded poison ivy. When I went to buy calamine lotion, this new Blistex Lip Infusion Sheer Liquid Balm in Cherry Splash ($2.89) came in the package as a free sample.
Never one to resist the temptation of a chapstick, I immediately tried it, and I was wowed by the result. Let me start by noting the cool sensation of the metal roller-ball applicator, which is perfectly refreshing in the hot Summer sun. For the rest of the highlights, read more
Then, there's the texture: Somehow, they have managed to avoid all of the unpleasant waxiness that plagues most drugstore lip balms. This stuff has a great cherry flavor and contains SPF 15. Also, it has a smooth, more liquefied consistency, yet it still binds itself to the lips despite being very light. The result: fully conditioned, chap-free lips that lasted all afternoon. Thanks to Blistex for turning a very itchy situation into a delightful new discovery.

My mother loves this stuff, but somehow, it hasn't managed to grow on me just yet. I'll stick with my Burt's Bees!
Ooooh my bf had poison ivy last month- the oils from the plant can live on clothes and shoes for up to a year- wash wash wash! The Blistex... I got some of this (cherry version as well) a few months ago and it feels cool going on but tends to dry out my lips and doesn't last very long, there isn't a moisturizing sensation because it all was a liquid that just kind of dried on my lips.
Although I'm sure I'll try it, I have bad luck with the liquidy stuff. Wind usually blows my hair infront of my face and it gets on my hair and then my hair will blow around again and leave lines on my glasses.
Ewww, this stuff is weird to me. I thought I would give it a try and I really don't like it at all. It is slimy and it doesn't moisturize my lips very well. I like my good old trusty Burts Bees or Rosebud Salve.
i use it and i Love it =D
I love the roller ball and the consistency of the product but it doesn't really fix my chapped lips. It feels great and makes regular lips soft but it's not strong enough if your lips are already chapped.
i used to have this stuff. it seemed pretty cool, but i lost it.
i tried this last yr its great, i didnt kno they had cherry now, good review!
I like my Nevia Chapstick or my original chapstick, these new ones never work like those good old ones. Classic may just be the best choice sometimes:P
Not good for me. It dries out my lips.
I have Blistex's lip relief cream. I like it so much. This brand has good products.
eh, i like bees wax.
I carry this one as well as another balm, like Perlier Olive oil lip balm or I just got the Burt's Bees pomegranate chapstick. So i use a good one and then use the blistex to reapply b/c like others said, it doesn't really last. i love the ball, but the product itself isn't 100% for me. although i am still addicted !
I put it on right after I wash my face.
I've always disliked Blistex for its messy application. I'm a hardcore vanilla chapstick user, but I do find that lipgloss (Neutrogena, Clinique) lasts longer.
I am so glad I am not the only one that has noticed how dry the lips can get after applying this. I have the vanilla version of this product, and when I used to use it alone, my lips would be so dry. I still use the product, but I use it under another lip gloss to keep my lips more moisturized.
I've tried this because my friend's dad works for Blistex and he gives us a bunch of free chapsticks! I didn't particularly like this one because it tends to dry out my lips.
rosebud salve is really good
although its a bit higher priced it works great
