As I stood in front of my closet this morning deciding what shoes to wear, I was faced with the decision: heels or flats? Of course it's not a major decision, but still necessary, nonetheless. After picking out a pair of open-toed black flats I was faced with yet another choice. You see, my toenails were in desperate need of a polish, but there was no time. Solution? I just painted only the exposed toes. I admit this isn't my first time using this beauty shortcut, but who would ever really know that those unexposed toes were polish-free anyway? Time for you to dish out your beauty shortcuts. What do you do in a pinch?

I have TOTALLY done that one before.
1Haha, I need to hear some of these..
2Ha very amusing but I've never done that.
Beauty shortcut, bad hair day-cute hat.
3I've quickly shaved just the exposed area of leg before. And I'll just an all in one product (cheeks, lips, lids) to do my face if I need to look polished. Ponytail for bad hair days. That kind of thing!
4I second the bad hair day > cute hat strategy.
5Also, sometimes I'll only shave the bottom half of my legs if I'm in a hurry.
If I really want to stretch my hair and get another day out of it without washing I put it up in a loose ponytail. Then I push the ponytail up to create a poof on top and bobbypin it to my head. Then spray it with hairspray, add a cute headband and I'm done.
6my slept-too-late-today hairdo: when i don't have time to wash and style my curly hair, i just pin back the front layers, and with a spray bottle filled with water, i spray down my whole head to perk up the curls. works like a charm, and i get compliments on it every time, to boot!
7I have done just shaving the leg area exposed deal - shaving is a huge chore for me bc I am 6'1" so...and I wear a hat when my hair isn't workin for me but I love wearing hats anywho so it's a win win!
8baby powder in hair.. it smells better than most dry shampoos/sprays i've tried..
though the white powder excess is kinda annoying..
9baby powder in my hair as well =) sometimes i just am so unmotivated to wash my hair haha
10It's all about Stila's hair refresher for me. Smells way better than baby powder and takes the grease out of hair!
11I have half shaved my legs several times before.
12when i was getting ready for a big night out i noticed my legs were looking pretty pale so i rubbed them down with lotion and then dusted a little bronzer on them and it worked like a charm!!
13applying fake tan just to the exposed portions of my body. did it yesterday
14guilty of half-shaving and painting exposed toe nails!
15where in the world did u get those flats? they're adorable! i must know
16I'm with those ladies who said they've only shaved the exposed part of their legs before...definitely done that! I also use dry shampoo somedays.
17to get the smoke out of my hair from a night at the bar, i place a sheet of fabric softner in my pillow case and it gets the smell out by morning and my hair smells fresh
18when my hair gets kinda greasy and flat, i spray Sunsilk's waves of envy sea mist in my hair and sprunch it in. it smells great, adds more body to my limp hair and makes it look less greasy at the roots and more matte.
19Retrospekt, they're Loeffler Randalls.
Fixe, that's a smart idea! I think I'll have to share that in a post!
20wOw!! sugars great tips,

21i live is pretty damn hot,
so to smell and feel fresh i

cotton swaps in a ziploc with
my favorite fresh fragance,
just a little rub in my wrist
or my neck it work nice,
the ones in Bath and Body Works
always do well
Baby powder in the hair is a MUST! haha Works especially well for blondes I'd say. And besides, as a bottle blonde I can't wash my hair every single day even though it gets oily after the 1st day. I do this almost every day.
Combing your eyebrows also wakens up your face in a snap. Just some black eyeliner, mascara and perfectly combed eyebrows looks so fresh.
22On humid days, when I'm too lazy to curl or straighten my hair, i blow it almost dry, then pull it back in a high, tight pony. Then, I spray some "Back Comb in a Bottle" to the tail and start ratting. I then pin it in a couple places to mimic a messy up-do. All of this takes about 5 minutes.
23When I need to cool off fast, I put some ice in a baggy (or grab an ice pack) and stick it on the sides and back of my neck and slide it along the back of my wrists to my elbows where all the veins are located for about a minute in each place. I don't know what it is about ice and those locations, but I feel about ten degrees cooler. It's a great way for me to not look slimy and prevents me from overheating.

25Haha, never done only one toe in the shoes! But I do, half legs, hat for bad hair day or not clean and if I don't wear make-up and feel awkward about it, I wear my sunglasses everywhere and don't take them off!
26I have very fine, blonde hair and heavy bangs. My hair get's greasy pretty quickly, but I usually don't have time to wash my hair everyday, so I often just wash my bangs. It takes 5 minutes to wash, dry and straighten it, and my hair looks that much fresher.
27When I run out of smoothing serum I spray hairspray on a tailcomb and run it though the top layers of my hair.
Also when I'm out of time or can't be bothered styling my hair I pull it into a low looped ponytail with the ends sticking up over the loop. Takes about four seconds and looks pretty good.
28I constantly toss clothes into the dryer to knock out wrinkles while I finish getting ready.
29omg i have done the clothes in the dryer trick too! I hate ironing, who has time?
30i'd love to wear a hat when my hair isn't so clean, but that isn't really acceptable for work, so i will throw on a wide headband and it covers any scalp that would be visibly dirty
31These tips are great! I adding this page to my favourites.
32If your hair or clothes are staticky, just take a dryer sheet and rub it over the area and it will take the static away. If you don't have anything to get the flyaways to stay down or want a little something to style your hair, a thick clear lipgloss will do the trick if you just place a tiny bit in your palm and coat your hands like you would with pomade. Lipgloss can also be a good primer on your eyelids for a powdery eyeshadow!
33I have done the 1/2 shave legs and painting exposed toes. But I have really thick curly hair.. so instead of taking time to actual wash it and detangle with conditioner under the running water, I usually take some Aveda Universal styling creme and smooth over the top of my hair and put it in a bun. So my hair has tons of volume, but still looks sleek and chic, plus smells really good!!!! I figure since people are buying bumpits (https://www.bumpits.com/Default.aspx) to achieve this look, why not use my tangles! haha
