What's black, sometimes white, and glitzed all over? It's the black nail polish trend taken up a notch, that's what. I've spotted different stars putting a new spin on this trend, which — let's face it — had been getting a little stale. In lieu of a straight up manicure with black polish, these celebrities have taken it up several notches with their own unique embellishments (see them up close after the jump).
Paris Hilton has been sporting a black and white French manicure; Solange Knowles opted for some geometric gold patterns at an event last month; and singer Keri Hilson chose a black with silver stripes design at her launch party. What do you think of this look? Bring it on or not?

I like plain black best.
1I like black nail polish. I have on China Glaze's Lubu Heels right now, which is black with red glitter in it. I didn't realize black nail polish was still trendy. I'm just wearing it because I like it
2I have a really dark blue one but I don't like black, this is to punk! It looks to trashy and it reminds me of Avril Lavigne, yuck!

) I used to do crazy french manicures with
black tips -- white, pink or green with black. I got looks then, so its amusing to see it now being trendy!

9I love black fingernail polish, it's actually kind of neutral when you wear it. I also love how nail polish is really "in" right now because I love polish so much! These looks though, are kinda busy for me. I like a plain polish.
10Never did like black polish but I might try navy. I also think it's too punk for me. I'm pretty vanilla as it goes.
11I think black polish on short neat nails is really chic. I think the spiffied up ones in the photos are alright for celebs or a special occasion but not so much for me.
