While most of you think that matching your lipstick to your nail polish is OK, how to you feel about matching your lipstick to your dress? At the Adventureland premiere, actress Kristen Stewart went full out with a coral Herve Leger striped dress and a similarly-hued lipstick. At last night's Mysteries of Pittsburgh premiere, Sienna Miller opted for an orange-based red dress with an almost identical lipstick.

- Don't go overboard: Being matchy-matchy can look dated. If you choose to coordinate your lipstick and dress, don't follow suit with the same nail polish color.

- Tone it down: Unless your dress and lipstick are lighter in color, keep your eye makeup simple as not to compete with your bold dress and lips.

I think it's OK to do that without being all matchy-matchy. I think it's cheesier when girls match their EYESHADOW to the clothes they're wearing.

3bellasugar should do a post on matte drug store lipsticks. I want to try it out, but I don't want to spend money on a good brand until I know whether or not I like it.

11i think kristan looks better cause her shade is slightly darker but in the same family as her dress. sienas is TOO exact. i don't see anything tacky or dated with being matchy as long as it's done tastfully. like blue matching eyeshadow to a dress would be gross.

17Ugh Kristen Stewart just bugs me. Personally I think it's fine matching your lipstick with your dress, as long as it is not overboard, or clashes with your whole complexion.
