I found my first gray at the age of 24. It was pretty exciting, so much so that I snipped it and saved it in my journal. (Dorky, I know.) So far, there haven't been too many more grays, but I don't think about it much one way or the other. Have you found your first gray yet? And if so, what was your reaction?

Yes..
I found my first one when I was 20 or something. (I'm 27now.) It's the same hair that
keeps growing back gray. lol But over the past few months, I've noticed more gray hairs.
1I'm soon-to-be 28 and so far, I haven't found a gray. My husband always teases me about being older (by 1 year) and I found his first gray hair last week. HA!
2Nope.
3I haven't. But to be fair, I never see more than 1/2 inch of my natural hair.
4I know people who found them when they were really young, teens, I found my first gray hair at around 27, so a little over a year ago, but haven't found any really since.
5when i was 24 i found one and it keeps growing back over and over and i keep plucking it
now, at 25 almost 26, i have three and i HATE THEM!
i have pulled all of them out and i have consequently freaked out over the possibility of going gray at all!
all 3 are in a similar location on my head, so i'm worried about getting a streak!
6I found my first white hair at 14. It's practically been 10 years. It is only one strand so I haven't totally freaked out about it.
7I found my first one when I was 15, and actually it was a clump of white hairs at both temples. I was growing my short hair out, and I freaked out! I'm still letting my hair grow, though, because what happens happens, and having two streaks of gray hair isn't going to be the end of the world.
8my hair's really long, and once in a while i find a strand that shows stress from certain times in my life... it's funny, there will just be a patch of grey in the middle of the hair but it's red at the roots and ends
9Found a silver stripe at age 26... thought it was pretty cool.
10Yeah, I found a gray hair when I was like 12. My Mom pulled it out for me.
11YES. a few months ago. i was 24. i keep it on my desk at work as a reminder of why i need a new job.
12Nope, but to be fair I'm only 21... and I color my hair, so It's hard to tell
13i am 19 and i havn't found any yet
14I'm 23 and haven't found one yet. I wouldn't know anyways cause I get it dyed every month. My mom's hair started graying at 18 but my dad didn't get grays till his 50s. Hopefully I have those youthful genes.
1527 ... and no grays in sight.
16Almost 28, and I'm on year 10 of gray... Thanks, DNA!
17I found one when I was 26 a couple of months after I got married. Maybe that was a sign. I'm 31 now and I haven't seen any since then.
18yes i have a few that drive me insane--i have brown hair (that i don't dye) with blondish pieces in the summer/when im in the sun--its so hard to tell if a piece is gray of blonde! i true battle of mine. i obsess over trying to get them, it becomes a goal!! i think i found my first after college (22ish--im 25 now).
19No thank God! I hope that lasts
20I did a couple months ago. I am 20!
21I was in high school when I first started finding them. I do have some streak now at 27 but I have been dyeing my hair lately but I don't really mind them. Most of my friends have lighter hair so they are as noticeable but I am dark brown. Actually a year ago my mom asked if I was highlighting my hair but it was actually gray hair.
22I found my first grey hair at 24 and was mortified. I'm now 28 and have a few that I keep snipping or I'll die my hair. My parents don't even have that much grey hair I wonder why I do?
23i had one white hair when i was like, 18 i think. i snipped it and tossed it out lol, and i havent found it since. maybe it was there due to immense stress? lol in india, they say that grey hair is a sign of intelligence. im still waiting for it to kick in haha
24Ha! I wish we had an option for, "been dyeing my hair for so long, I'd probably never notice!"
25Yes, I was 14, almost ten years ago. I hate them.
26no, thank goodness.
27I found my first one at about age 30...I'm 32 now. I only have pulled out a couple since then, though. I hope it holds off for awhile!
28yes, at age 21
29I found mine at 14 but im embracing it and it looks good so far
30I found one about a year ago... age 19. I was devastated and yanked it out, and so far, I haven't seen it come back!
31I am 23 and a few months ago my husband plucked out my very first gray here! I was in SHOCK! It felt really weird but, I guess it means I'm maturing!
32I started getting grays around 20. At 34, I have several but not enough to bother coloring my hair. But I started hyperventilating and nearly fainted when I found a gray hair "south of the border"....it was a year ago, and I'm still not over it!
3312. I got my first gray hair around 12. I thought it was just a fluke but a year later I found a bunch more in the same spot. I am now in high school and am starting to get a small Stacy London-esque gray streak towards the back of my head.
34yes. @ 20
35I had quite a few by age 24. My dad was almost half gray at 30 so I knew what was in store for me. Now in my mid 30's I'm probably a third gray. Not that you can really tell as I've been coloring shades of red for almost two decades (ok now that makes me feel old). My main problem is the majority of them are on my part so when my hair grows out I get a bit of a skunk line :-/ I use colormark pro to touch up the skunk and stretch my hair appointments to 5 weeks apart. I thought about letting it grow out but I don't feel as old as it would make me look.
36I found my first gray hair when I was about 18, by the time I was 30 my hair was completely gray( thanks Mom!) Thank goodness for hair color!
37I found my first when I was about 7, it was pretty funny. My mom plucked it out for me and showed my entire family (we were in the Dominican Republic at the time) Don't know why I had a grey hair at that age, but whatever. Nothing since then though.
38Yes. I'm 25 and I've had grey hairs for a few years now. I kind of like them.
39I was 10. And I haven't seen another since. Weird. o_O
40I started getting white hairs when I was 21 or 22. I'm glad it happened when I was so young because I didn't think of it as "aging." I just thought, "Huh, seems I'm going prematurely gray," and forgot about it. I've been coloring my hair since I was a teenager anyway so it doesn't matter.
41Thank God so many other ladies have said they were young too!! My father's side greyed out way early so I knew what was coming. I found my first ones when I was 17 or 18. I'm 29 now and have dyed my hair for so long but I still see them when regrowth is coming through. I hate hate hate it.
42I found mine on the day I turned 28!
43It's been a few years since and sadly a few more hairs too.
Got my first at 25 and there are a bunch hiding in my hair. I pull the one's that are in plane sight. And no, 6 more don't come to their funerals.
44SHOOT! I found my first greys at 21! I snipped them at first then around 24 right when I got married my greys quadrupled! I blamed my husband for it and I have been coloring my hair ever since then!
45Unfortunately, yes! My mom noticed it in the back of my head. She said it was sticking out like a sore thumb
So I had to pluck it!
46Sometimes I get white eyelashes but thats about it. I'm 19 though and dye my hair, so I may find one when I redo my roots, or I may not.
47You saved it in your journal? That's priceless! I found mine reeeally early too. I think it has something to do with the fact that my hair is quite dark, so the gray is more noticeable.
48i'm 26 and i have one. i keep plucking it, it keeps growing back. good times.
49Ooh, Autumns_Elegance, I *love* white eyelashes. I have two and they feel special to me.
