Did you know this blonde shade almost kept Leighton from landing that headbanded part on Gossip Girl? She's known for her darker locks when shooting in New York, but she's taking a West Coast break with her natural hair color. After all, there's more than just the UES, as she's working on an album and filming Date Night with Tina Fey and Steve Carell during her time off from the series. Busy lady. 
It's hard for me to adjust seeing B. as a blonde, not a brunette, so I've been staring at the shots for a while now. Do you have a preference?

21i was originally super-suprised when i heard that she is a natural blonde (months and months ago - doesn't look as good as the brunette, the dark rich shade complements her face better than the blonde which washes her out. maybe a different shade, darker blonde, or maybe cooler?) but the i remembered that winona ryder is ALSO a natural blonde. that was a shocker, so this wasn't quite as, since i had a reference point. both look better with darker hair.

26I think with the blonde hair she looks average and I wouldn't look twice at her on the street, but the brown hair brings out the beautiful shape of her face and also her brown eyes
27I wouldn't say that Leighton looked "stupid" with blonde hair considering that's her natural hair color and that's not a fair thing to say, but her as a brunette really seems to suit her.

32Sorry, I'm not buying that she has naturally blonde hair! (well, after age 4 or 5). I like her much better as a brunette in either case though, she has the most beautiful face with perfect features and I think the dark hair works with her coloring to create depth and allow her beauty to shine through.

34I don't think she's ugly at all! She could dye her hair purple and still be cute. I also think that when you first go from dark to blonde you get a brassy, orangey color like she is rocking here. The color itself doesn't look natural so that could be why also.

38ok, anyhoo, I actually saw Leighton with her blond hair on a couple episodes of House before Gossip Girl. I remember thinking she was gorgeous and having no problem with the blond hair. then, when GG began, I looked her up to remind myself where I had seen her before and I put two and two together. so I can unbiasedly say that she looks so much more beautiful and sophisticated with brown hair. I like either style that she's had in the last two years - the darker, more full and the lighter with blond highlights. either way, she must remain a brunette...
