Welcome back to Model of the Week, where every Wednesday we learn the beauty secrets of top models. This week's featured model is Marisa Miller, who was discovered by famed photographer Mario Testino in 2001 while she was surfing in Manhattan Beach, California.
It's fitting, then, that Miller's major claim-to-fame is appearing in six Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. Originally from Santa Cruz, California, the surfer babe was born on August 6, 1978, and grew up with two sisters. In high school, she was a star volleyball player and a big fan of all beach sports.
In addition to her SI shoots, Miller has modeled for Victoria's Secret and has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Fitness, and Shape. She has been featured in campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, J.Crew, Nordstrom, and Andrew Marc, and in August, she will star in her first television commercial alongside Heidi Klum for Victoria's Secret.

What is your secret to beautiful skin and hair?
Getting enough sleep, drinking a lot of water, a healthy diet, good moisturizers and conditioners. When I'm taking care of myself and being healthy, everything looks better!
What is the one product that you can't live without?
That's hard because it totally depends. After a long flight, eye drops and eye cream. Makeup-wise, it's Shiseido's Eyelash Curler.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Ice cream and croissants.
What are your favorite drugstore products?
Maybelline Lash Discovery Waterproof Mascara and Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads.
Happiness is...
Hanging out at the beach with friends and surfing. That is the best remedy for jet lag!

14She actually looks healthy; it radiates from her. I love that she played sports, which seems to build a greater sense of self (so rare with models). She doesn't seem to be the type who plays like a little girl, but rather a woman. I can't stand Adriana for that reason; the woman is my age for crying out loud.
15Ever since I saw Marisa on the cover of Shape a few years ago (2004 right?) she has been one of my faves.

26i love that she's not stick thin like most models and has the most amazing figure i've ever seen. she's athletic, slim, toned and curvy!
27If you think she has the perfect body, I hope you are the one in a million women who are that tall, that thin and that busty. Though she's gotten implants, she was actually fairly busty before. She modeled for Perfect 10. She's naturally this thin. If you're starving yourself, the chest will lose fat and sag a bit. She actually seems to have gained muscle mass.

31She has always been my fave! Killer curves and way down to Earth! I know she had implants and was really flat before, but you have to have a good base to build on in order for fake one's to look good anyway!
