I was a bit surprised to see Renée Zellweger on the red carpet at tonight's Costume Institute Gala, but, hey, it was a pleasant surprise. Her hair seems to have finally grown out of its awkward stage — either naturally or with the help of extensions. She was smart and kept it pulled back into a low ponytail. It may be a bit casual for the event, but I think the simplicity suits her. The same goes for her makeup, which barely highlights her pinched cheeks and lusciously full lips, all of which complemented her ornate necklace nicely. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but I think it works. Do you?

this is such a refreshing look to see. its natural and she's herself. she doesn't need a ton of makeup and styling to look gorgeous!
