Not too long ago, I was on a call with celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, the global creative director for Avon. While providing tips for lipstick application, the wife of hunky actor Patrick Dempsey made an observation with which I definitely agree: most women naturally gravitate toward makeup items in one particular color family. This got me to thinking. I'm somewhat of a peaches and cream girl, myself, but tell me about which category that you typically prefer, using Revlon lipstick's palette as our inspiration. Are you into warms or cools? Or perhaps you go for bolder tones with a kicked-up edge.

golds and nudes suit brunettes best
There is so much truth in this post! I almost always choose pinks - though I've been slightly more open to reds and corals lately.
I don't typically wear a lot of lipstick/lip gloss, but I tend to like nudes, followed by corals/reds. Never pink, purple, or mauve. I don't like the way it looks with my red hair.
Since there are a lot of factors to consider -- hair color, eye color, skin tone the options are always different for every person. I think I have founded lighter colors to be a little more flattering for my light brown hair, hazel eyes and fair skin. Darker colors make me look a little frightening, tired and garish. For this lipstick, I think rose would look a lot better than that barbie pink.
hmmm, i gotta go back to the whole old school "what's your season?" preference on my colour palettes here. i like anything that isn't too "autumn"-ish basically.
golden for the eyes nude pink for the lips.
Nude
Rose is my standby, but otherwise it depends on my hair color, since my skin is pretty neutral. When it was dark, blue reds. And when it was copper, nudes and even corals. When it was platinum, pinks.
I actually gravitate to everything. I love lipsticks so am willing to experiment with all the colours.
Roses, pinks, nudes and reds. I can't help it, I love experimenting!
I like corals/reds because of my skin and hair colour.
Nudes, plums and browns (said the last one)
I agree with solitaire 100%. I have a couple of tons of lipstick in every color under the rainbow and then some.
I picked roses cause I had to pick one.
I voted for corals/reds, followed by pinks and browns.
The family I like least is nude. C'mon, whose nude is it really for?
Pinks are my favorite. They're the most flattering to my fair skintone.
I also like peaches sometimes.
i use nude lip glosses and sometimes on special occasions, bold red lipstick
nude, plums and browns flatters me. I picked plum because it lighten up my face while being subtle.
Pinky-peaches for me.
Yeah, I definitely gravitate towards pinky-browns and play it safe with lip color.
Nudes, but I love to play with alllll colors!
Pinks and nudes, mostly.
For lips: plums/mauves, berries and roses. Nothing too pale or too dark, nothing orangey, no gold hues.
For eyes: taupe/brown, plum/purple/mauve/lilac, certain greens.
bronze and browns
I always like the pinks best in the tube but for what actually looks good on me I have to go with roses or nudes.
Hmm I would have to say pinks, nudes, and very toned down roses.
I am all over the place with eyes but my favorite is purple since it;s goes perfectly with my deep browns. as for lip; when I do wear it, which is hardly ever, I tend to prefer either a nude gloss or a coral...
Plums/Mauves flatters my olive skin th best, butt I like corals too
Bright fire engine red for my hair. Bright colour (any) for my eyes. And either red or light sheer rose for my lips. As long as I don't clash with myself I'm happy.
Reds/corals, because they go with my natural lip-color.
i like roses,pinks n nudes
Plum/mauves
Pinks always catch my attention somehow. I'm a cool toned girl though so they usually work best for me
