How-To: Repair a Broken Lipstick
Recently, I received a sample of lipstick, which, apparently, I was so excited to try, I actually knocked the lovely shade of pink off its base. If it's broke, I'm going to fix it. While I have heard of the match repair trick before, I've never actually tried it, so call it another one of my experiments in makeup repair. (See what I'm talking about
here and
here.) Here's how it all turned out.

Awesome, go Bella!
1great slideshow...and was that a reference to a NKOTB song for Step One? Step by step, oooh baby...In elementary school, my friend and I would sing the lyrics to that song as we slid down each one of the steps in her pool until we were underwater. Geeks.
2Neat idea. I'll have to try that over pushing it back into the tube!
3LOL, Brandysbug

thx
7I wonder if the lipstick repair would last all that long without ALSO melting the other half so the two can fuse together more evenly? The problem I see with heating only one side is that the other might snap off again after it is chilled in the refrigerator. It's a nice way of rescuing a broken tube of lipstick, but what would be more useful is to know whether it stayed put or broke off again in a few days or weeks.
8Hi! I like your srticle and I would like very much to read some more information on this issue. Will you post some more?
9Good tips!
