This battery-operated curler is lightweight and delightfully easy to use. Just slide the blue button upward to turn it on, and in about 15 seconds, the red strip turns clear to show that it's fully heated. From there, using the curler is just like using any other one—but the heat really sets the curl more dramatically than traditional curlers. I usually blast my regular curler with my blowdryer but this can be dangerous as it can overheat the metal. I'm curious to try this instead!
1tammy i usually blast mine with a hairdryer too! and bellasugar you read my mind i was just going to ask for a review of eyelash curlers. does anyone have any good tricks? my eyelashes are really wacky (half of them curl, half don't!) so i was wondering if anyone had some good tricks to try!
2Do these actually work? I'd be a little scared to burn my lashes off...
3Can't live without my Shu Uemura curler. CAN'T. Anyway after I curl I use a dab of rose balm along the tips, curl line and to separate. It works for me. If I wear mascara it ends up dragging the curl out - my lashes are long - so go figure!
4can't live without my heated curler as well as my sheshido one combined together.

6If you have a great curler already, does a heated curler really make a huge difference? I dunno... $35 is a pretty big commitment, but who knows? Sounds pretty interesting.
7That would be so cool. I can't see myself spending that much money on it, but I know I have done the hairdryer trick too, and it really works. It's like a little eyelash curling iron. LOL
8I use my hair dryer on my eyelash curler too and it overheats sooo fast and burns sometimes! not good. I dont think id spend money on a heated one though...just too cheap I guess. lol
9What if you burn your eyelids?
10Good question, Glamorouswink. The heating element isn't burning hot, so I haven't had any trouble. I get close to the lid--but not close enough to touch it--and that gets the curl going. On the few occasions when my lid has touched the curler, it's felt warm, not hot. So I don't think there's any chance to get singed.

12I also use a regular curler and the hairdryer. I usually blast it for a few seconds and touch it to my palm to make sure it isn't too hot.
I bought a cheaper version of this, and I can't seem to make it work as well as my curler+dryer set up, but it is made of plastic, is this one metal? Maybe that is why it works better?
13This one has a sturdy plastic housing, but I'm not sure what's inside. I really like this one because I don't have to clamp down on the lashes as hard as I would with a regular curler, and I use an ionic hairdryer that doesn't get super-hot. But if the dryer works for you, run with it!
14I've burned myself with a heated curler before...painful.
This looks like it's worth a look though.
15I don't really curl my lashes since I don't see too much of a difference but I'd love to give this a try just to see. I can't see spending the money on it though.

17I do not understand eyelash curlers. I either do not use them correctly, or they do not seem to work.
18i totally agree with bellasugar on this one. i am a big fan of heated curlers i had one similar to this for years i got in japan and it was great. this one though is definitely a keeper along with my tweezerman
hot lashes had that conventional curler that you heat up --- that worked but i am not into all the clamping - i think it damages my lashes for some reason
this gently curls and the curl really lasts.
