Model Agyness Deyn popped up at yesterday's Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition Preview Party 2009 (or, you know, RAOASEPP2009 for short). Ever the style rule-breaker, she combined a few trends with her hair and makeup. Visible roots, visible lift, blackberry-colored lips, and classic red nails made for a, well, memorable look. I love seeing risks on the red carpet, but this combination of trends is a bit much for me. Do you think Agyness works it, or is it too quirky for even her?

The hair kinda bothers me but I don't think a lot of the trends she's doing are too outrageous so I'm fine with it. I actually really like the purse.
1I don't get the feel that she's showing her roots on purpose. And even if she were, she shouldn't combine that with an updo. The purple lips are cool, though.

3I saw the full length look of everything on another website and looked ridiculous. The close up is even worse. Yuck.
4I love the hair, it is very retro chic but the black roots give it a little rocker child. I would have loved the blackberry lipstick were it not for the hair, the combined look reminds me of evil Disney characters. But who am I to judge, I have to give props to Agyness for her boldness!

11I love it! She's in the outrageous, boundary stretching fashion industry. I think she SHOULD push the limits. She's looks great while doing it too.
12The only thing that bothers me is that that lip color is NOT good for her.
13wow, Bella, that is what happens when you start to follow trends too much: you knitpick a look that's just fine. not to be disrespectful, but I think it is so stupid that not properly colored hair is considered a trend. and I hate to say it; you are the one that labels them "trends" - I mean, red nail polish?! that's like saying a LBD is a trend - no, it's a classic!
14I personally think Agyness look amazing; the hair is crazy but in a great way; and the lipstick color is perfect for her skin tone, hair color, and eye color...
It is a bit much but she seems like she owns it and can pull it off so more power to Agyness.
