When it comes to natural-looking lips, nude lip liners are a staple. They outline and define, as well as create depth and consistency. They can be worn with lipsticks and glosses or simply by themselves, filled in with a dab of Vaseline at the center of your lower lip. Here are the four classic must-have nude lip liners.

MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Spice is probably the most recommended lip liner of all time. It looks great on everybody, and it blends well with virtually any color of lipstick or gloss. It's no wonder the neutral pinky brown shade is a favorite among celebs. Buy it here for $12.50

Scott Barnes Lip Pencil in Barely Brown is like nothing I've ever tried. Its uniquely creamy texture makes it glide onto your lips like a lipstick would, and it creates a subtle and sheer line. Buy it here for $19.

Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Nude is a creamy liner that comes with its own sharpener. Though it is definitely a bit dark to be considered a nude liner, those in the industry favor this neutral liner above the rest. It's a mauvey-brown color with a handy brush for blending. Buy it here for $27.50.

The T. LeClerc Plaisir Lip Pencil is a light-beige color with a hint of pink, best suited for those with light to medium skin tones—but I've seen it look great on everyone! Buy it here for $15.

Yep, I agree with you whiplash, I've gone through about 5 MAC Spice lipliner. It's awesome. It also goes great with their lipstick called Twig, which is a neutral brown/pink shade.
3MAC Spice is AWESOME! I am due for new makeup and I think I am going to switch from Benefit back to MAC.
4spice did i use that or something called nude. i always loved nude from chanel as well. im going to get a overhaul in the makeup counter since i dont really wear makeup in the summer plus i changed my haircolor. i went from bleached bimbo blonde to lite brown with subtle hilites
5Your hair sounds pretty, SC
6Yup, I am going in for my "Autumn Makeup Overhaul" next week. Our local Macy's got a MAC counter last year so I don't have to drive all the way down to the MAC store in Dunwoody. SWEET!
what is the autumn makeover something u made up to give ur excuse to go hog wild at the makeup counter or a promotion mac does..
7Um....it is something I made up (although I got overhaul from your post) AND it is an excuse to go hog wild at the MAC counter
8I have a $15 off coupon that I got this month from Macy's (I **think** it is because September is my birthday month) so I am just going to get some new colors and more coverage and might as well go back to MAC for awhile.
nice .. i wish i knew how to do eyemakup i stink and cant wear eyeliner cauyse it looks trashy on me i have deep set eyes
9Well, I don't have many talents, but I am pretty good at eye makeup. I am sure you don't look trashy in eyeliner. Give me a break, girl!!!
10i just bought the Chanel one but it still makes my lips look to big so i'm staying away from lip liners altogether..
11SC - the new color sounds pretty!! I never use lip liner. I usually only wear lip gloss and I worry about that dark liner around the outside look. Hmmm...these might be perfect for me.
12EWWWWW!!!! J! I HATE that some people STILL wear that look ala Eminen's wife.
I mean, who
thinks that looks good? It didn't look good when it was "instyle" in 1995! It sure as hell does not look in 2006. It reminds me of girls in a gang.
13ME TOO! I did not want to say the word that rhymes with bolo. But, yah. Me too.
14
LOL!!!
15hwat word rimies with bolo.. i call that oreo cookie mouth lol
16LOL SC!! I PMd you...with illustration even.
17hey, I want in on that secret!
18I think the basic idea behind these lipliners is to make something that works exactly like $1 lipliners at drugstores, except cost a lot more
