How to Fix a Broken Compact
Whether it's been dropped, unintentionally stepped on, or is nearing the end of its lifespan, a broken compact is messy business. I've had success giving these crumbly powders a
quick fix with a tissue, and recently, I learned a new tip from
Woman's World's Stephanie Prommer on
Kathy Lee and Hoda. It's time to pick up the pieces.

Good tip, Bella. I would never have thought about using rubbing alcohol to put the mess back together.
1Brilliant! Thanks, this is very useful.
2Bellas, just so you know, you can't repair matte or very finely milled powders with just alcohol because there isn't anything to bind the minerals together. If you have matte/minerals/pigments, you'll have to use something like BioSilk, glycerin, or a MAC's mixing medium(sold in MAC pro stores).
3haha they don't sell rubbing alcohol in the UK
I wanted to do this
and I just got a weird look from various pharmacies. they tried to sell me some cough syrup instead
