I thought this was just a passing trend until I noticed that more and more cosmetics companies have jumped on the studded eyelash bandwagon. First it was Madonna who debuted her famous Diamond Shu Uemura Lashes that supposedly cost about $10K, and then Revlon created Jewel Lash Drops which allows you to bedazzle your own lashes with a squeezable gel that dries to a gem-like substance.
I guess this look is fine if you are going out clubbing, but never for daytime wear. Can you imagine anything hurting more than a rhinestone falling in your eye? Yeesh! Here are two different styles of variations on this studded lash trend that bestow you to bat your lashes and bling!
Valerie Beverly Hills has created a new set of glue on falsies called Black Mink with Rhinestone Band ($100). These lashes are made from mink and the band is adorned with clear stones. Inside the light purple suede box you'll not only find a mirror for convenient application, but also a tube of lash adhesive.

Too Faced Lash Gems ($15) are a set of adorable gems that are more lightweight than your average rhinestone, so you can glue them onto the tips of your real lashes or your falsies. The set comes with white, black, blue, and pink gems that adhere when moistened, plus an applicator to put it all together.

I feel like I have no occasion to wear these. I can imagine myself putting on something like these to go clubbing when I was a teenager but as a 25 year old I don't see it looking anything but silly on me.
1The lashes with the rhinestones you can get really cheap at a costume shop. If there's a year-round party supply/costume shop in your area, I found mine at one of those. They were like $4 tops. I wore them for a halloween outfit as Satine from Moulin Rouge.
I would actually rather use the Dior glitter glue pen. I don't remember what it's called but it seems much easier to use than that second thing you put down. My friend has one and I used it on a pair of false lashes I wore, it looked really great for a night out at the club.
..except I didn't put it all over my eyelashes, just the outter corners for some added glam :]

2You can get the similar ones that Maddonna wore from SHU, they sell the cheaper regular ones with the bling too.
As for the mink one, I like the soft hair. It is REAL, like fur or something?? Horrors! It is too ex.
I dun quite like the two faced ones. Kind of like candy stuck to your lashes.
I am quite a lash collector!!
3I LOVE the look of false eyelashes but try as I might, I cannot get them on! I usually wind up just getting glue in my eye. Hey Bella, maybe you could write a post on the proper way to apply them and maybe tips on how not to get glue in your eyes?
4I am not big on fur. I am not like the extreme PETA people, but it is not for me.
5That's an excellent idea clarkware. I think the ladies would really benefit from an instruction guide on how to properly apply false lashes. Maybe even with some pictures?

6I found the cheapo lash jewel product I was talking about earlier!

Now, technically depending on its ability to stay solid, you don't even have to buy the lashes with the fake stones on them, you could just put droplets on your lashline with that pen or on the tips of your lashes like it's meant.
wee!

7I feel like I'd rather put lots of glitter eyeliner on than rhinestones on my lashes.
8for some reason the rhinestone on false eye lashes seems something a tranny would wear. haha, i'm just saying.
9Crazy! I can barely lift my eyelids by the end of the night as it is - I think this would be a very restrictive mistake for me.
10I don't like fur anyway
11N.Y.C. has rhinestone eyelashes for $1.50 at target!
12i meant the brand N.Y.C., not the city
13False eyelashes creep me out, but I like these ^_^
14I love them. But my eyelashes are naturally really long!
