Of course model Selita Ebanks is stunning, but at an event for the Whitney museum last night, she really amped up the drama. As we learned earlier, "breaking the rules" by using warm tones with cool ones creates a fresh, fun style. Notice how Selita's cool smoky bluish-green shadow and cinnamon red lips create an stunning appearance. Like this multihued look? Get some tips on incorporating it into your own routine when you read more.
- Eyes: After lining both the top and bottom lash lines with a black eyeliner, apply a smoky green shadow to the lids, extending to the outer one-third of the crease. Next, smudge under the entire lower lash line for a cohesive look. Try Bare Escentuals Eye Color in Mermaid ($13). Finish of by adding a sparkly greenish-yellow shadow to the inner V. I like Bare Escentuals Eye Color in Envy ($13).
- Lips: A glossy brick or cinnamon red lipstick is perfect for this look. Try CoverGirl Queen Collection Vibrant Hues Shine Lipstick in Shiny Cinnamon ($8).
- Cheeks: Complement the warm glow of the lips with a warm amber-toned blush, such as Shu Uemura Glow on Blush in M Amber 82 or 89 ($21), depending on your skin tone.

I love this look on her. It's so beautiful and unexpected yet subtle at the same time. I am one or so shades darker in tone than her but I am going to try this on myself. She looks great yet not overdone!
1I think it's very unflattering. The winged effect in the outer corner of the eye makes it even less appealing. I get the whole breaking the rules deal, but cinnamon with metallic blue? There ought to be laws against that.
2Talldiva, you look so beautiful in your picture - just say no to this cinnamon catastrophe.
i have seen other pics of her and she is gorgeous. this one, just disappointing. she looks amazing without, why ruin it?
3I am absolutely not a fan of this look. I don't think it's a very good example of pairing warm and cool and looking good. Selita is gorgeous, the application is good, but those colors! Ugh!
4I don't really like it. It reminds me of subtle in the 80s
5She looks like a drag queen.
