Here’s a classic if I’ve ever seen one. Cetaphil’s Daily Facial Cleanser ($11) is gentle and aroma-free, perfect for anyone with sensitive skin or for those who like creamy formulations. Fifty-nine readers have reviewed this iconic product, as did CRob; and, here’s why she likes it:
I've used Cetaphil for about 12 years and it's been the perfect answer to my problematic skin. I tend to be oily in the Summer, super dry in the winter; I break out occasionally, and have been diagnosed with rosacea. All the while, Cetaphil has been the best solution for treating my cranky skin kindly.
If you have a favorite cleanser, whether it’s a cream, gel, foam, or in bar form, we want to hear what you have to say about it. Head over to the Product Review section, and check out my Cetaphil review, too.

I love the gentle aloe cleanser from the body shop. I left a review for it in the review section.
1Cetaphil not only disagreed with my skin however the ingredients are rotten. Talk about chemicals... No thank you.
2because i used cetaphil so much along with a particular sunscreen, my skin developed a sensitivity to both products. i believe the ingredient causing this reaction (felt like extreme burning!) was paraben and/or its derivatives. please be aware that this may DEVELOP due to its use. i didn't have the sensitivity at first, but after using cetaphil i developed it.
3A million people recommended this to me, but it wasn't so great on my skin - it left too much oil and grime behind. I also didn't care much for the lotion (and the facial cream has a nasty scent). But my dermatologist recommended a similar product - CeraVe - which I've had much better luck with. The CeraVe cream is like a magical cross between Bliss Body Butter and Dr Brandt R3P; the lighter-weight lotion is all whipped up and absorbs instantly; and the soap is just the right combination of gentle but cleansing. I've been on some pretty rough prescription treatment for the past two months, and all of my previously-favorite lotions were making me break out in hives, so it was really a huge sigh of relief to find CeraVe. May it help other desperate sensitive-skin sufferers as well!
4Cetaphil didn't work for me at all!
Aveeno is a million times better on my sensitive and dry skin!
5Cetaphil is a staple in my shower. It's so dependable and always seems to take care of my undesirable blemishes. Not only does it unclog my pores, but really does a good job cleansing my face without stripping it of too much oil and making it dry.
6Nothing beats Cetaphil when it comes to a nice gentle skin cleanser
7This is the only product my skin is not allergic to.
8dont know why but i guess my skins a bit different, cetaphil's not my thing
9The problem with this Cetaphil for me was that it was too gentle that it didn't remove make up or any leftover make up. Better cleanser I found is Premier Dead Sea facial cleanser that I use daily and I exfoliate with Clinque 7 Day Scrub at least twice a week.
10i loove the cetaphil facial bar for dry sensitive skin...it's like 3 bucks and the best cleanser ever!
11I think this product is perrr-fect alest try it its better than clean and clear that sh*T sucks it made me have more pimples this is good product to clear your skin and i think this product should be named clean and clear and clean and clear should be named pimples and sh*T
