I haven't been watching the new season of She's Got the Look, but if I'd known this sort of thing would go on, I'd have popped out the Elmer's and glued myself to the TV. During last night's episode of the modeling-competition show, a contestant named Laurie goes berserk. We're talking about jogging-in-place, taking-off-her-shirt berserk (so, um, maybe don't watch while the boss is around). Laurie — a self-described iconoclast and maverick — says she took her top off because "beauty is spiritual."
Sadly, Laurie is off the show, so the whole reason to check it out every week has jogged off the set. I'm not 100 percent convinced that this outburst was unscripted, but it's entertaining nonetheless. Did you see it last night, or does it make you more likely to watch the show?

I've been watching the show. I liked the idea of having a version of ANTM that more women can relate to. That Laurie chick was nutso, and I'm glad she's gone, although it's obvious they put her on to get ratings.
1Wow that was BIZARRE
2I knew she was crazy when she said she was like Oprah and Joan of Arc. lol Those who compare themselves to people like that, are usually crazy. I don't watch it, but the commercial aired constantly.
3I know Laurie -- I used to work with her, and I can tell you that nothing she did on the show was scripted. That was completely her. She was the same person on that show that she was every day in the office. Laurie's catch phrase was, "You hate me, don't you?" and, sadly, I think that was (and apparently still is) the case because she knows how off-putting she is. She wants to be the center of attention, but never in a positive way. For some reason, she thrives on being disliked. I'd compare her more to Madonna than Oprah or Joan of Arc.
4I loved "She's Got The Look" last season and I love the idea of the show, I'm going to give the show the benefit of the doubt with saying they cast Laurie for "drama" but I don't think the scripted the incident that occured. I think Laurie may have pulled that one out of the hat for herself. And I'm not one to call people crazy it's dismissive and insulting, but I do think Laurie may need a bit of a chemical balance in her life!
5In my opinion, she's bipolar and was suffering from a manic attack. With her low self esteem, I would hate to see what her depression is like. God speed Laurie.
