The next time you remove nail polish, go easy on yourself — literally. Use a non-acetone nail polish, which is gentler on your digits, and use a cotton ball instead of a tissue. (The balls soak up remover better and are softer on your nails.) Then, instead of rubbing back and forth on your nails, take a soaked ball and press it on the nail for a few seconds. Then, wipe the color. Quicker and easier, and good for your nails as well.

I find that non-acetone remover takes longer than regular remover. The longer time means that my cuticles get much dryer. So I've gone back to regular, with acetone polish remover.

2Ugh, non-acetone kind of sucks. Takes FOREVER to get dark shades off. I was using it forever, and then went back to acetone when I ran out, and I can't believe the difference.
It may be harsher on your nails, but it's worth it to me!

5I already do this too! Only I agree with most everyone else that acetone based remover works better/faster. Sometimes I just use pure acetone, works like a charm !!! shame on me
6I had a bottle of non-acetone polish remover and I nearly cried it too so long to get the polish off. Like hours. Needless to say, I only pick up the acetone now. But I will try the dabbing-type technique this weekend.
7can we have a picture of prettier feet next time? can't believe that made it into stock images. all the people i know who have such toe nails avoid polishing them not to attract attention.
tissue? i didn't realise someone used tissue. i use cotton pads and that is not enough, but tissue, it gets dry in a second.
