Long before the days of rampant rhinoplasty, Hollywood actresses used to demand that they be photographed only from certain angles. Even today, some stars, like Dita Von Teese, seem to favor one side over the other. That's because most people don't have perfectly symmetrical faces, and pictures often highlight facial quirks that you wouldn't notice in person. (You'd never pick up on my crooked nose in person, but in photos, I might as well be Gonzo the Great.) Do you favor one side or the other, or is it not a big deal to you?

Right side for me. But then again, I don't think I'm photogenic at all...
SHE CREEPS ME OUT...LEFT SIDE
Right side.
left side for me! it was really funny when we meet our wedding photographer for the first time, and we were telling him how laid back and easy going we are . . .then i said, oh btw i only want to be photographed on the left side . . . not too laid back after all haha!
I have noticed that my face is symmetrical. It's weird. Each side of my face looks completely the same. We did something in college that experimented with seeing how symmetrical your face/body is. But then again, it never occurred to me to care.
Absolutely.
I like my face straight on and my left.... but I look like a completely different person from the right side!
I'm always dodging being in this position on photos!
My left side is definitely better.
Either side, straight on, I really don't care. I don't look like myself in photographs. I photograph much better than I look in person it's weird, even my driver's license photos look good.
I don't know why but my right eye is always half closed in photos unless I turn to the left so that my right eye is closest to the camera. Then it always looks open. Don't ask me why, it seems backwards.
Right side. When I was younger, it was my left (I'm also legt-handed), but growing up, it started to look weird.
Haha. My face is fairly symmetrical but for some reason, I think my left side probably looks better in pictures.
Also, you wouldn't notice it in real life but in pictures I've noticed that one of my eyes looks smaller than the other! It's really annoying! HAHA.
My left side is my good side. I think I have a horribly asymetrical face.
mine's left too... i don't notice a difference except my nose, it leans slightly to the right so it looks smaller and better shaped from the left :^)
I dont particularly enjoy being photographed.
Left side, but I'll do the right if I must. I think my nose looks better from the left.
Definitely my right side! I try my hardest to turn that way when a photo is being taken--my friends have noticed and make fun of me. It's hilarious, I know. But I look like an old sea hag on the left side. Seriously.
My right eye doesn't open as wide as my left so my left side looks more awake! That said, I have been working on my right eye (lid) and am more aware to keep it open so it doesn't droop. Most girls would just have botox but with a little effort I think it looks almost as good as my "good" eye! (freaky, I know).
Right side! I hate my left.
My left side! My eyes can't look to the right so my left side is my only option anyways. :~P
i actually look best straight on.
from the side i look really different, or at least in pictures i do.
Ugh I'm the least photogenic person in the world, so I don't have any good sides. I always end up looking stoned in my photos.
my left side.
right side, definitely.
To be honest - I never really thought to figure this out... hmm
yay! im not alone after all haha im not photogenic so if i have to chose one i´d choose my right side and yes my eye is like smaller than the other one and it seems like is closed damn it
My left side i think
I'm just like cArolin3! my face looks very different from the left and the right, and I greatly prefer my left side.
I prefer my right side, but I photograph with both, although my right sided pictures look better.
Left side.
