Reader Bailaoragaditana had plenty of positive things to say about Lipstick Queen Medieval Lipstick ($20), so I'll let her take it from here:
The name, the picture, the color, the backstory, and some rave reviews convinced me to buy it, but when I did, it was love at first try! Since Medieval is ostensibly a lip stain, it's quite sheer, but still very red — a confounding combination that I simply adore, as I can get away with wearing red and looking completely natural at the same time, which I never thought would be possible. It's actually much more balm-y than stain-y. It doesn't really properly stain, but it moisturizes the lips very nicely, and doesn't dry out too fast . . . All in all, [it's] super versatile and awesome.

I have this lipstick and love love love love love it. I bought some for my mom and she adores it, too. It works on everyone. I'm fair with light brown hair and blue eyes, and my mom has olive skin, dark brown hair and green eyes, and it works on both of us.
Definitely recommend this!
1So would you say it is a red that would look good on everyone?
2I do think it would look good on most people, greenmel - it's pretty sheer (but buildable) and while it is a true red (ie, not pinky or orangey), it's not very strongly pigmented even though the stick looks scarily bright. You can even tone it down by patting it with your fingers (my preferred way to wear it) for an even softer effect. If you'd like pictures or more details I did a whole blog post in review at http://bailaoragaditana.onsugar.com/2631919
3i'm a lip product addict and Medieval is by far the best lip product out there. It looks amazing on everyone I've seen it on. I'm African American and it looks great on me. It also looks great on my friend who has very pale skin. crazy good stuff!
